by Shon Harris and Fernando Maymi, but I was completely overwhelmed with how much detail is in that book. It is a great resource and I'm glad I bought it, but I wouldn't suggest using it by itself. I then purchased the CISSP (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems guidebook by James M. Stewart, and I found that to be more accessible. In addition, I watched free videos on Cybrary.it, and that was a huge help in my studying. Finally, I used the practice exam books from both Shon Harris/Fernando Maymi and from James Stewart. I did not pay to take a course, so I was going it alone. Because I didn't take a course, I am really glad I purchased both guidebooks and both practice exam books. And again, look at Cybrary for videos to help as well. Good luck!
