One of the best bird guides I've ever seen...2016年7月31日に英国でレビュー済み
I've bought this for a forthcoming trip to Bonaire and thought this guide so excellent that I'd write a review... The cover is a stiff paperback, which makes it lightweight and practical. 21.5cm high by 14cm wide so it will slip into a jacket pocket or backpack. The Introduction tells you about the history of the islands,a section about General Fauna and Flora explains the biology of the area. Two well illustrated Bird topography pages explain the jargon of bird identification. Then four pages on the islands and where the main birding sites are, with very clear maps. The following pages have text on the left with colour illustrations of the birds on the right, showing male, female and juvenile. These illustrations look good and are plenty good enough to enable one to identify each species. Against each species is recorded the English, latin and local names, with descriptions of the bird, their call, the bird's habitat and distribution status. As if all that wasn't enough, at the back of the book is a checklist of the birds of the islands, showing which islands they occur on and whether the species is endangered. The book finishes with a bibliography and index. This really is a superb bird identification guide and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
It's sort of okay. The illustrations are not very accurate but we think we have so far managed to identify anything which has stayed still long enough so I suppose that is its main purpose anyway.

Great book .not 100% accurate as we live in Curacao and see different birds and frequencies. However best book out there at present.
