良い楽曲と退屈な楽曲の差が激しいので微妙な作品であることは確か。

先行シングルの"We Can't Stop"と"Wrecking Ball"はそれぞれタイプの違う曲でありながら、
どちらも楽曲の出来としては秀逸だと思います。
ミュージックビデオが世間からの曲の評価を下げているように感じますが、
"Wrecking Ball"なんかは誠実に歌い上げているライブ映像を見ていると、本当にこの曲の良さが伝わってきます。
それ以外でいうと、ファレルによる"4x4"も新鮮な感じのサウンドで楽しめましたし、
あの"Stand By Me"を取り入れた"My Darlin'"なんかもなかなか良い仕上がりです。

ただ、後半にさしかかるとちょっと退屈です。
Britneyとの"SMS"も期待していましたが、ありきたりな感じの音で期待はずれでした。

個人的には、マイリーにはMike Will Made-Itと手を組むより、
"Wrecking Ball"や過去に"Party In The USA"を提供したDr.Lukeとがっつり組んでアルバムを作ってもらいたかったです。

彼女のインタビューを読んだり聞いたりするかぎり、マイリーは非常に賢い女性です。
こういったアルバムになったのも、彼女のやりたいことをやった結果。
一連のビデオやパフォーマンスに関する騒動も、世間がどういう反応をするか分かった上での行動です。
そういった点では、自分を貫いてこの作品を作り上げたことは評価に値するのではないでしょうか。

しかし、やはりハンナ時代から彼女を見ている側からすれば、ちょっと前のマイリーのジャンルに戻ってほしいと望んでしまいます。
うん、次回作に期待!!

前作Can't Be Tamedから約3年ぶりのアルバムです。
そしてかわいらしいハンナモンタナのイメージはジャケットからも想像できない程のアーティストとしての変貌。
最近ではワイルドすぎる過激パフォーマンスや言動で、必ずゴシップ欄の中心にいるマイリーですが、それは全盛期のブリトニーのような感じがします。
ポップアイコンとして、時代はマドンナ→ブリトニー→マイリーの順番になっているのではないでしょうか。
ハンナからのイメージ脱却はすごく大変だったでしょうが、このアルバムを私は高く評価したいと思います。ちなみに、私はハンナ時代からのファンです。
音楽の用語?とか詳しいことはわからないので、自分なりの感想です。^^分かりにくくて、申し訳ないです。
1　Adore You
きれいなミディアムバラードっぽい。メロディーが素敵でマイリーのハスキーボイスとうまくマッチしています。
2　We Can't Stop
1stシングル。MVは過激だ、やりすぎだとか叩かれまくってますがそれでもすごい記録回数。キャッチーなメロディーです。
3 SMS(Bangerz)　Feat. Britney Spears
ラップも披露してくれています。マイリーのハスキーボイスとブリトニーのキャンディボイスが絶妙。
4 4×4 Feat. Nelly
ノリがいいです。roud and roud and we will goが頭から離れません。
5 My Darlin' Feat. Future
マイリーの低音から高音にかけてのかすれ声が素敵です。うっとりする感じ。
6 Wrecking Ball
2ndシングル。PVの全裸のイメージが強いですが、それ以上に楽曲もイイです。
7 Love Money Party Feat. Big Sean
南部っぽいヴァイブ。マイリーにはこの路線も似合うと思います。
8 GETITRIGHT
16曲中、1番のお気に入りです。アップテンポで、これはハンナ時代からのファンもついていけるのでは?って感じのノリ。
9 Drive
エレクトロポップが入ってます。現代PopMusicっぽくっていいんじゃないですかね?
10　FU　Feat.French Montana
マイリーのヴォーカルが今まで以上に響きわたっています。
11　Do My Thang
2番目にお気に入りの曲。サビがサビのイントロが不思議な雰囲気を出していて好きです。
12　Maybe You're Right
ミディアムテンポのバラードっぽいです。これもお気に入り。
13　Someone Else
この曲を聴くと、Hannah Montana1のサントラからマイリーの歌唱力の向上がよーくわかります。ここまでレベルアップしていて、素直にうれしいです。
14　Rooting For My Baby
13からの曲調をうまく引き継いだ感じ。アコースティックギターの音色とマイリーのハミングが上手くマッチしています。
15　On My Own
マイリーのシャウトっぽい歌声が素敵。もっとこういう曲があっても良かったなぁ〜。
16 Hands In The Air Feat. Ludacris
エレクトロポップとゆったりめのR&Bがミックスされたような曲。
正直、輸入盤の13曲まででは物足りない感じです。日本版は輸入盤Deluxと同じ16曲入り。
私は、輸入盤Delux盤を購入しました。発売前に、日本版のアナウンスを見ていたらボーナストラック多数収録。と書いてあったので日本盤を買おう!!!と思っていましたが、いざ日本盤トラックリストが公開されると、輸入盤Deluxと同じ内容。かなりがっかりしました。23、Decesion、Twerk、Joleneのカバー等がボートラになると期待していたのですが･･･。
ちなみに輸入盤は歌詞カードなしです。ブックレットではなく、ポスターのようになってあり、クレジット表記とマイリーからのメッセージ、マイリー写真になっています。私が買ったものは、アルバムアートワークは上記にあるアマゾンの物ではなく、違うバージョン。しかし、それは1枚の紙なのでそれをのければ上記のものになります。日本盤初回にはそれが複数付きなのかな?マイリーのシールがついてました。ライナーツノートや日本語対訳はないので、必要なら日本盤を買うべきだと思います。そんなのいらない!!って方は輸入盤を買った方がお得だと思います。

マイリー・サイラスの約3年ぶりのアルバムです。

僕は待ちに待ち続けていたアルバムでした。

ジャケットを見てわかるように、今のマイリーの外見にはハンナ・モンタナの面影は全くなくなりましたよね。

そこで賛否両論になっている訳ですが、曲調も前作「Can't Be Tamed」とはほとんど違います(良い意味で!)。

スローなバラードもあり、アップビートもあり、さらにrapも少しあります!!

そして今までのアルバムとの大きな違いは、コラボ曲がたくさんあるということです→ブリトニー,リュダクリスなどなど

なので是非皆さんにも聴いてもらいたいです!!!!!

(歌詞、和訳等が必要ではない方は曲数も変わらないので輸入盤[DELUXE]がおすすめですよ)

After releasing 'Can't Be Tamed' in June 2010, Miley proclaimed she would take a break from music in order to pursue an acting career and being inspired by life. She truly did, and many good and bad things happened between that album and 'Bangerz'. There was huge controversy due to a leaked video of her smoking salvia, she went on tour, she acted in 2 negatively received movies (LOL and So Undercover), she got engaged to Liam Hemsworth (and later broke up with him), she chopped off her hair and dyed it blonde, she grew up and officially entered her 20s, she officially cancelled her contract with Hollywood Records and signed with RCA, she hired a whole new management team, and she finally started working on her next album. She turned into a new person, an independent woman who takes her own decisions, and she prepared to release new music without Disney's help and guidance. She officially released the controversial lead single 'We Can't Stop', her rebirth and the beginning of the Bangerz era. The album was released in October 2013, and I'm going to review it:

1. Adore You - The album's first track. A ballad that opens the album, about basically adoring someone, it sounds more mature than Miley's previous ballads and her voice is a lot stronger and more grown up. I like it, but it's not my favorite song. I give it a 8.5/10

2. We Can't Stop - The album's second track and first single. The song that started her rebirth, it's a song about a house party in which everyone takes over, produced by Mike Will Made-It who helped Miley créate a new image and her new musical direction. The song marked Miley's rebirth and it's a departure from her previous work, as it's a mixture of pop, dance and R&B and not too electronic or rock heavy. Definitely the album's highlight, it was a perfect choice to start the era, the song will be very remembered for its catchiness (as well as the highly controversial music video and VMA performance). I give it a 10/10

3. SMS (Bangerz) - The album's third track. A collaboration with miss Britney Spears, definitely another highlight, Miley and Britney's voice sound incredible together, not much to say about it. I give it a 10/10

4. 4x4 - The album's fourth track. A song that mixes country and hip hop elements, Miley sings with a Southern accent about how she's a female rebel, it's very different but I found myself replaying it a lot, it's very addictive and one of my favorites. I give it a 10/10

5. My Darlin' - The album's fifth track. I didn't really feel the song at first, as I found it very repeatitive (as Miley and the featured artist Future keep singing 'My darlin', stand by me'), but now I actually like it, it's relaxing and I love its production. I give it a 9/10

6. Wrecking Ball - The album's sixth track and second single. A ballad about a breakup, in which Miley says that she will always want her former lover, and uses a wrecking ball to say how she fell hard. The strongest ballad on the album, it's accompained by a dubstep infuenced breakdown in the chorus which reminds me of Rihanna's 'What Now'. It also caused controversy, due to the video in which she appears naked swinging on a real wrecking ball. I give it a 10/10

7. Love Money Party - The album's seventh track. A club-ready track similar to Rihanna's 'Pour It Up', about wanting love, money and a party. Like Rihanna's song, I found it a bit out of place and boring, don't like it that much. I give it a 6/10

8. #GETITRIGHT - The album's eighth track. A a feel-good Summer track, originally planned to be the album's lead single, it reminds me a bit of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky'. It's really cool, but I think 'We Can't Stop' was the right choice for the lead single. I give it a 9/10

9. Drive - The album's ninth track. An electronic track about a lover who lied, it's very addictive and would be a good single choice. I give it a 10/10

10. FU - The album's tenth track. The song probably chronicles her breakup with Liam, she's basically saying "f*** you" to him and angrily says he broke her heart, and wonders why he did what he did. Musically it has a crazy piano with an electronic production behind, it sounds like a comedic song or something like that, but I love its vibe. I give it a 10/10

11. Do My Thang - The album's eleventh track. The weakest track on the album, it sounds like pure filler and the lyrics sound stupid, she swears too much. 'We Can't Stop' may have lyrics about partying irresponsibly and all that, but they are truly secondary to the catchiness, anthemic nature and genius production, this song isn't even catchy. I give it a 1/10

12. Maybe You're Right - The album's twelfth track. Another breakup ballad, in which Miley tells her former lover that he might think she's crazy, lost and foolish for leaving him behind, and that he could be right. It's very cute and her vocal performance is strong. I give it a 9/10

13. Someone Else - The album's thirteenth track. This is like an instant sequel to 'Maybe You're Right', as it seems her ex was right and she's presumably telling someone interested in her that she can't help him, because she's turned into someone else and she's hurting herself. I give it a 9/10

Deluxe bonus tracks:

14. Rooting For My Baby - The album's fourteenth track. Damn, this song is just so good, it's a smooth acoustic track about being in love with someone, it was probably dedicated to Liam while they were together, it's my favorite song on the whole album and I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition just for this track, as I fell in love with it just by hearing the preview. I give it a 10/10

15. On My Own - The album's fifteenth track. A song that chronicles her rebirth and doing things on her own, it reminds me a bit of Madonna's 'She's Not Me'. I give it a 9/10

16. Hands In The Air - The album's sixteenth track. I'm not too fond of this song, Ludacris' verse didn't help either. I give it a 6.5/10

'Bangerz' is definitely a complete departure from Miley's previous works, and it's the end of her transition from a teen pop sensation to an adult pop superstar. Still, I give it a 4/5 on Amazon because there were 3 songs I didn't enjoy. 'The Time Of Our Lives' and 'Can't Be Tamed' maybe weren't her definite transition, but I liked all of the songs on them so they remain my favorite Miley albums. Miley has stated that she feels disconnected from her previous albums and that she feels like 'Bangerz' is her debut album, and I understand it in a way, Miley is in a different place in her life and career, things have changed during the past 3 years and she's already entered adulthood. Still, I appreciate all of Miley's music, she's a superstar and her music is great, I don't care about her public image, she's free to do whatever she wants to and express herself as she wants to. 'It's my mouth and I can say what I want to'.
