たまたま美容院で髪を切っていた時に、アルバム収録曲の「Nothin' On You feat. Bruno Mars」を聞いて、この歌は何なんだ、めっちゃいい曲じゃないかってずっと気になって、いつかまた聞くときがあるかなと思いつつ調べていた時期がありましたが、ラジオで初めてこの歌を知ってからYouTubeで調べるようになってそこからずっと検索して聞いたりしていました。一番のお気に入りです。他に「Airplanes ft. Hayley Williams of Paramore」や「Don't Let Me Fall」などもおすすめです('・ω・`)

ブルーノマーズのメロディが光りまくっているNothin' On Youが最高です。
この曲ではラップのノリも出色の出来栄え。

ただ、全体的にはフィーチャリングが多すぎて何か統一感が感じられません。
BOBのアルバムという色が薄いように思います。
airplanesとかmagicとかポップないい曲が詰まったオムニバス版という感じがぬぐえず、オムニバスにありがちな、聴きやすいけど飽きやすい。　心に残る一枚になるか？と問われれば、そうはならないアルバムだと感じます。

それでも、Nothin' On Youだけは別格に素晴らしい。

Airplanesが気に入ったので購入しました。

評価を見る限り何名か少ない☆を付けている人がいたのでそこまで期待はしていませんでしたが、思った以上にいまいちでした。

まず一言だけ言いたいのは、いくらジャンルレスと言ってもHIP HOPではないと思いました。もちろんそれっぽい曲もありましたが、ロック？ポップス？それっぽい曲が目立ってましたね。

この人が大好きな人、大ファンの人には申し訳ありませんが他のレビューで書かれている通りカチカチなHIP HOP好きの人が買ったら損すると思います。

僕は他の曲も気になっていましたし、ＣＤを集めてる者ですので購入しましたが、たとえばAirplanesやNothin' On You など宣伝されてるような曲が欲しいとゆう方は i Tunesで安く買った方がいいと思います。

DrakeやKid Cudiなどを好きな人にはオススメじゃないでしょうか？

カタブツなHIPHOPファンからしたら許せないんだろうけど、素直に楽しいですこのアルバム。
エミネムやT.I.などのヒップホップ界の大御所から、パラモアのヘイリー嬢までフィーチャーしており、とても色とりどりの内容となっている印象をうけます。

ヒップホップはちょっと…という人でも、このポップ色の強いアルバムなら結構受け入れやすいのでは?

誰でも好きな曲がどれか一個はあるような、そんな多彩な才能を見せつけられるアルバム。

個人的には、シングルカットされた二曲Nothin' On You(全米1位!)とAirplaneが好きです。

Many of you have heard me claim that I have met Mr. B.o.B himself. Well, I did, at the Great Hangover Tour with KiD CuDi and Asher Roth. I went to the bathroom, and B.o.B was sitting there in his plad shirt and his jeans and boots and his hat, just playing some John Mayer songs or something. I knew I was going to see him perform tonight at Stubb's in Austin, Texas, so I said hello. His show was absolutely blood-pumping. His phenomenal performance covered everything from hard-core rap to pop to soul. I remember catching the glimpse of his back-up singer, who I thought was a pretty soulful chick. I was so drunk by B.o.B's energetic melodies, I asked his short-haired back-up singer to marry me. She told me she loved me. Meh. I was just having too much fun. I remember Willie and I drove home, and I immediately downloaded the B.o.B mixtape: B.o.B Vs. Bobby Ray. I was immediately hooked.

B.o.B uses the mix of basic rapping to the fun of pop music. The Adventures of Bobby Ray definitely hybrids those mixes into one pretty-damn-good composition. B.o.B has an obsession referring to space, and he does so in the tracks "Don't Let Me Fall" and "Ghost in the Machine." These inter-galactic tunes sets the stage for some beautiful piano work in "Don't Let Me Fall" and the dark and mysterious "Ghost in the Machine." B.o.B lets his inner-musician out with his depressing "Ghost in the Machine" track trying to find his true identity. For the rest of the album, B.o.B goes into the pop scheme, which may disappoint many of his hip-hop originated fans. He will probably gain a lot of commercial success with the teeny-bopper Six Flags tune, "Magic" featuring Weezer's lead singer Richard Cuomo. This is where B.o.B hybrids his pop and rap influences into multiple tracks, which has worked very successfully in The Adventures of Bobby Ray. I was relieved to hear a real B.o.B song "Lovlier Than You," because it shows B.o.B's capability to be a genuine musician. The only true rap song B.o.B performs is "Bet I" featuring jail-bird T.I. and Playboy Tre. The only disappoints I find with the album is the "Magic" track tries too hard to compete with the tween All Time Lows and Cartels. I was also disappointed with Lupe Fiasco's part in "Shades." Lupe is one of the best and most under-rated rappers in the game's history, but he doesn't really try in "Shades." I find The Adventures of Bobby Ray to be a hip-hop album you can share with your 10 year old niece and maybe even enjoyable and uppity for your mid-40's mother and father. B.o.B is a genuine musician that I must always recommend, and I have a feeling we will be hearing more of him.

B.o.B, der auf T.I.'s Label Grandhustle gesignt ist, liefert uns mit seinem Debüt ein Feuerwerk von guter Musik, die in Vielfältigkeit und Einfallsreichtum ihresgleichen sucht.

"Don't Let Me Fall" ist der erste Track des Albums. Von ihm selbst produziert präsentiert uns Bobby Ray einen grandiosen Song, mit vielen Höhepunkten, klasse Rhymes, super Gesangsparts und einen vielfältigen, aber immer absolut überzeugenden Beat. 5/5

Weiter geht es mit der ersten Single "Nothin' On You". B.o.B harmoniert perfekt mit Bruno Mars, der zwar den Großteil des Songs übernimmt, dafür ist der Text und alles akustische aber erste Klasse. 5/5

Für "Past My Shades" wurde Lupe Fiasco mit ins Boot geholt. Beide liefern sehr solide Parts ab, die jedoch bei dem großartigen Refrain untergehen. 4/5

"Airplanes", die zweite Single wird im Refrain von Hayley Williams, der Sängerin von Paramore gesungen. Wie sich das mit Hip-Hop vereinbaren lässt? Kein Problem für B.o.B - einfach ein paar weltklasse Lines zaubern, super rappen, und natürlich noch einen klasse Beat holen. 4,5/5

Mit "Bet I Bust", das Parts von T.I. und Playboy Tre beinhaltet, findet man auf dem Album wohl den Hip-Hop lastigsten Song. Mit ein bisschen Eingewöhnung weiß der geneigte Hörer diesen dann auch sehr zu schätzen. Nicht zuletzt, weil T.I.'s Part einfach genial ist. 4/5

"Ghost In The Machine" ist ebenfalls von B.o.B selbst produziert. Es gleicht dem ersten Track sogar in einigen Punkten: Es ist vielfältig, melodisch und einfach genial. Der einzige Unterschied: Dieser Track ist noch ein bisschen besser. 5/5

"The Kids" ist dann der schwächste Song des Albums, aber auch ganz gut, da er einfach mal was anderes ist. 3,5/5

Mit "Magic" liefert uns B.o.B dann einen vom Sound sehr mainstream-artigen, aber vom Text und vom Feeling einen so genialen Song, dass er einfach nur gute Laune macht. 4,5/5

"Fame" ist wieder in eine ganz andere Richtung, was sich sowieso das ganze Album über beobachten lässt. Aber auch er ist wieder sehr gut. 4/5

Der nächste Song, "Lovelier Than You", ist sehr ruhig und gechillt. Aber gerade deswegen wohl auch so gut. 4/5

Das von T.I. produzierte "5th Dimension" ist sehr interessant, und macht nach einigem Hören richtig Laune, vor allem weil der Gast Rico Barrino genial singt. 4/5

"Airplanes Part II" ist zusammen mit Eminem. Diese Aussage genügt wahrscheinlich schon, um meine Bewertung zu begründen. 4,5/5

The Adventures Of Bobby Ray ist eines, wenn nicht sogar das beste Album dieses Jahres. Bobby Ray's Musik macht richtig Laune und wird auch nicht langweilig.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!

'The Adventures of Bobby Ray' is one of those rare CDs of any music category that you can play from beginning to end. It's a diverse mix that showcases a stunning debut from B.O.B. He is one of those artists that loves both rap and melody. His love for different types of music comes through his artistry, and it's hard to put him in a box. It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a CD, but B.O.B. hits the nail on the head. That Star Wars font on the cover is indicative of the classic that 'The Adventures of Bobby Ray' is sure to become. Highly Recommended - When it's all said and done, this will probably be my favorite CD this year!

**Favorite Cut (for now): "Bet I" - This one will have me buying new speakers and wearing a neck brace! THIS is my joint!

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this album but I must say I am pleasantly pleased. Out of 12 songs, I would say 9 of them I won't skip when the song comes up on my Ipod. My favorites are(in no particular order):

1. Don't Let Me Fall
2. Airplanes 1 & 2
3. Ghost In The Machine
4. The Kids(although I don't like the hook as much)
5. Nothing on You
6. 5th Dimension

Overall it is a album worth listening to. It's definately a different sounding rap album than what most are used to, but that is the good thing about it.

I bought this CD for a friend in college, hoping that it would be his style and he loved it. As far as rap goes, B.O.B has a pretty laid back style for most of the songs. There are a few love songs, a few danceable songs, and one hardcore gangster rap-type song. I would say if you like Kid Cudi or other laid back rap, this is a great buy. There are 4-5+ songs on here that are party-worthy and even if you don't like every single song, it's a safe gift for a teen because it has 4 songs that are pretty well-known. He features some well-known artists too and all those songs are great.
