I enjoy Medieval historical fiction and was especially looking forward to The Avignon Legacy - Avignon and the papacy in the late Middle Ages. What’s not to like? I was not disappointed. At the end of Part 1, I wanted more of the story of Jean Tremonde, Maurice Chatillon and Papal intrigue. Part 2 takes place in the present day, but is tied to what happened in Part 1. Plus, the pace, heist planning, and the characters certainly held my interest. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys historical fiction of the era with a bit of modern day treasure hunting as a bonus.
Thank you, Daniel Lorti. I am pleased to find another author of medieval fiction. Looking forward to more of Jean Tremonde in Knights of Honor and Knights in Action.
