Firstly I cancelled music unlimited because Amazon kindy accessed my private music & recordings then uploaded them to show as my downloaded music from Amazon,it didn't end there it also removed them from my SD card which has nothing to do with Amazon meaning I could only listen to my personal music via Amazon music app,On top of that on my 3 month old Amazon Fire pad after doing a system update prime music lost the equaliser & then when I tried to update app it said up to date but grab this on the app itself at the bottom it says last updated wait for it 2009 WTF ! Spotify is by far the better &it won't steal your music.
I'm sorry but sort it out. Use to have Spotify and will be returning to it soon, the songs often freezes if I go onto an album it only shows the songs that I have in a playlist Spotify is so much easier to use and works perfectly even with my alexa I ask it to play songs and then it doesn't play anything, this is just awful you need to seriously sort it out,
This is the free standard app to access your purchased Amazon streaming and downloaded music. It's been regularly updated and covers music streamed from the Amazon Store as well as your music library held in the cloud or on your device such as phone, PC or tablet. It's really a giant data base for your music which you can search by Artist, song or album, in addition to purchasing tracks from the Amazon store. It's ok, but I recently had to get Amazon's help as it failed to play from the cloud on my 2020 Fire 8 tablet and from my older Moto phone - so, be prepared to put some time in to rectify faults. This involved clearing the respective cache and re-installing the app - so try this fix first. You also need to register the app on each device you are using. Registrations are limited to 10 devices and it takes up to a month for a deregistering to take effect. Why? So, all this makes for a slightly less smooth user experience than should be the case, given how long it's been available and how much content is offered by the Amazon Music service. I will confirm Amazon support was good once I'd managed to contact them. Final point, oddly there is no EQ control within the app. The volume slider is fine, but if you want to boost/cut your bass or lift the treble, you have to do it via your device's settings. This is an obvious feature we could reasonably expect having forked out for the music. it may be that the app needs a full review and rebuild, as its been incrementally 'improved' or at least changed, over several years.
