This does have a pronunciation guide and guides for each English-Afrikaans word although now and then it confused me as I knew how the word actually sounded and the pronunciation seemed difficult to me. Like when saying "Ek" they say to say "ak" and I say "ek." So this book may be most useful to those who already have pronunciation down and are just looking to learn a whole lot of new words. So some of the pronunciations confused me and I'm going to look the words up in a real English-Afrikaans dictionary when it arrives in the mail.
There are some good grammar tips as well. Some of the topics include shopping, foods, car words, bus travel, train travel, hotel bookings, etc. I thought this book possibly has almost anything a traveler would possibly want to say. So if you are looking for phases this is your book. Just watch some youtube videos to get the pronunciation correct.
If anyone knows where you can find spoken Afrikaans online in a free translation program I'd be interested in hearing about it. Please leave me a comment.
