Probably my favorite rock album. It has the best of their later songs on it, with the exception of "Bye, Bye, My Love," and is well engineered and sounds great on everything from my car stereo to my listening room (Vandersteens and old Counterpoint hybrids). If you like SAS and don't have it, buy it. If you don't know SAS and like good rock, buy it. It may be expensive from an American point of view, but most Japanese hits are on singles, and cost like the very devil to collect over here in the US. This is a fantastic album, and has my two favorites, "Tsunami" and "Rut of Hope." If you don't know SAS and you like rock, you should. I learned about them recently, and they have become my favorite group of the later 20th early 21st century. Like Harry Nillson, they defy classification as a rock group. Their songs run the gamut of early fifties through fusion jazz-influenced rock. There is no bubble-gum, anime-influenced JPop crap in Southern All Stars. They are an incredibly talented, eclectic rock band that produces solid and incredible music. This album is the perfect introduction to a truly Japanese phenomenon. I can't recommend it enough.
This CD has most of their best sounds and is exactly what I was looking for. The sound quality is excellent on a high end audio system too. I will rate it a strong buy. This Japanese band's music will meet all music lovers' expectation.
