とてもしっくりときます。手からは滑り落ちにくく、それでいてポケットで引っかかったりしない。デザインもすごくいいし、ボタン操作も問題なし。ガラスフィルムをカバー装着前に貼ると、少しのゆがみでも端が剥がれてしまいます。そこで、カバーを着けたまま貼ってみるとバッチリでした。この方が貼りやすく、きれいです。」

This case was perfect for my new phone, and it delivered quickly. The case is sleek, love the blue, love the design on the back, and it protects the phone well, I already dropped it and no harm done to the phone or the case . Nothing worse than a bulky case, and thankfully this case is protective and sleek. Not too thick, easy to hold, great grip, and it doesn't effect my finger print reader. Definitely recommend it for the new Pixel 4a (2020). For those commenting that it was was a poor fit (too tight or too small) I noticed you all said you had the Pixel 4 and this case is meant for the 4A which is a smaller phone. It fit my Pixel 4a perfectly no problems, 5* all around.

Dit is een super hoesje als je op zoek bent naar eentje waarmee je je telefoon op de grond kan laten stuiteren zonder schade. Daar lever je dan wel wat dikte voor in. Ik ben overtuigd dat mijn telefoon nu vooral nog kapot kan door op het scherm te vallen. De hoeken lijken in eerste instantie niet zo speciaal maar na een tijd gebruik en veel gestuiter ben ik onder de indruk. Het enige moeilijke is dat dit hoesje heel erg lastig aan en af te doen is mocht je de telefoon nodig hebben of schoon willen maken. Het hoesje is gemaakt van verschillende materialen en daartussen ontstaan na een tijdje kieren, dat zie je extra goed als je het hoesje van de telefoon af wil krijgen. Knoppen zijn stevig en fijn. De uitsparing en richel rond de camera beschermt. De kleur is geweldig, een soort glinsterend blauw. Maar het materiaal op de achterkant is absoluut niet antislip mocht je dat belangrijk vinden. Met een beetje zweet glibbert de telefoon toch snel alle kanten op. Ik zou het aanbevelen als je op zoek bent naar een mooi maar wel heel stevig hoesje.

I like this case overall- it fits well and I'm not sure why other reviewers are complaining that it's too snug; I think the fit is exactly what it should be. The material is flexible enough that it's easy to pop your pixel 4a into the case but snug enough that it stays on and would need to be pulled back on all corners and wriggled a fair bit to take it back off again. Maybe that's why people thought it was tight? To me this is a good thing because there's no way the case would fall off if I dropped it, but you can still take the case off if you want to.

I like that the case doesn't block the screen at all. What differentiates it from others that have the same narrow front/ minimal-screen-overlapping design is that the material the Caseology case is made of holds it in place much more effectively than others that I would've assumed were the same. I ordered 2 cases at the same time (this one and a Sucnakp pixel 4a case). They both have the same basic style (the overall matte-plastic-moderate-protection thin design), they're the exact same size, but as it turns out the Sucnakp and many others like it have a slightly more rigid plastic that just sort of "clicks" your phone into place. Because of the very narrow lip that covers the front of the phone, the more rigid plastic definitely feels like my phone could snap back out of the case very easily or that it would fall out of it if dropped. Comparatively the exact-same-size front lip on the Caseology case feels like it really envelops the sides and holds onto the front of my phone well so that it won't pop out. The material isn't what I'd call stretchy/rubbery, it just has a bit more flexibility that you don't necessarily feel to the touch but makes a surprising difference in terms of feeling very secure.

I don't agree with the reviewers that complain that the case makes it hard to access the fingerprint sensor. The folks complaining about this issue (with any case, those critiques are the same everywhere) are referring to the fact that the added thickness of a case means the cutout over the sensor can feel deep and make it hard to press the sensor at a reasonably flat/even angle instead of just unsuccessfully poking at it perpendicularly. But this case has a relatively low profile and I haven't had any problems using the fingerprint censor while holding my phone single-handedly. Maybe thicker cases should add a larger/more gradually sloped bevel design so you don't have to poke through a deep cutout but this one is fine, at least for me. (I use my index finger-- maybe the angle is awkward if you fingerprint with your thumb? I could potentially see that...)

Obviously this isn't the case to bring with you when you moonlight as a ninja and break out your grappling hook and rappelling gear. It isn't an otterbox. That said it's still worth having as a regular case. It adds very minimal bulk to your phone while still feeling like the case is sturdy enough to serve a legitimate purpose and offer moderate protection. Bonus points it doesn't feel any bulkier when I put my phone in my pocket, which is a major plus for me.

Pros-
- It's my favorite of the cases that have this general profile/shape because it stays on quite well while not overlapping the useable screen area of the phone, and the bulk:protection ratio is good (aka worth it, it adds a reasonable amount of protection with a slim design).

- I like the honeycomb-type textured design on it, it makes it looks interesting. The 3D pattern is visible and you can feel it if you touch it, but it's actually very subtle/ not bumpy and doesn't feel awkward to slip your phone in a thin pocket. However, if you DID want a super-extra-grippy-textured case, keep this in mind-- I wouldn't consider the architectural design to serve as any sort of grip/tread, it's just a design element. Your phone isn't going to slide off the couch like it's on a waterslide (which is what the pixel 4a feels like without the case) and it slides around less than a shiny-brittle-plastic case (which are just as slippery as a "naked" pixel 4a), but it isn't rubber and should not be considered a tread. For me the feel of it is the ideal in-between; not grippy, but not slidey. I know, I know-- my vocabulary is amazing.

- I do wish they had a wider range of colors to choose from (pssst... Caseology, make the same slightly dark/subtle tone in hunter green!) but the blue is still nice. I like that it isn't navy (which companies often make so dark that it isn't noticeable). This phone case wants you to know it's medium-dark blue while still being understated and not looking like a bright children's toy.

- Pro that I wouldn't have thought of until I actually tried a few cases-- this one actually has cutouts for all the necessary places (holes for the usb-c port and 2 speakers at the bottom, and the headphone jack and microphone input on the top). I thought this would be obvious but turns out a lot of other cases don't have a cutout for the microphone input on the top, which means no one can hear you when you're on the phone. What a crazy thing to do when you're making a case for an Actual. Phone. Lesson learned, when you're comparison shopping, check for that. Luckily this one has 'em.

Cons-
- If the lip covering the front edges of the phone was just a liiiiitle bit taller (raised a bit more above the screen surface) it would feel even more protected from dropping it onto an uneven surface. Don't get me wrong, this is the same as all the other cases in this general style, and the screen doesn't touch the ground when placed upside-down, but a tiny bit more height would make it feel *extra* protected. Admittedly this would add bulk, so it's a tradeoff.
- The type of plastic that the case is made of does leave a (very subtle) amount of oil shine/smudging from having touched/handled it. You don't see fingerprints, just a very minor hint of leftover shine (like a much less drastic version of when people use those little blue oil-blotting-sheet-things on their face). This might just be inevitable for many extra-matte types of plastic. Comparatively, glossy-looking plastic can get distinct fingerprint markings all over it and the marks on this case's material is **much** less noticable than that. Unless you wipe the phone on your face (...maybe don't do that anyway? ;) no one else is going to notice it and it doesn't scream "greasy!", but as the owner of your phone you might notice subtle corners that appear a tad shiny now and then. Ultimately I don't care; no one else will ever notice this but me. I'm just admitting that it's not invisible.

Tl; dr- I'm torn between giving this 4 or 5 stars. The thin profile, interesting design, snug fit, very reasonable price point, and offering at least *some* colors other than black ultimately outweigh my critique of minor smudging, so I'll round my 4.5 stars up to a 5.

...oh, btw, comparison shopping for a phone case was annoying because so many products are clogged with "incentivized" 5 star reviews. Not the situation here-- I wrote this solely because I'm procrastinating having to write a work report on a Saturday, and nobody's giving me a cupcake or gold star for my time. (Why in whatever celestial being's name did I spend this much time writing about a $15 phone case??) Whatever that says about my exciting weekend life, hey, at least you're getting a genuine review out of it. ;)
