11月公開の竹中直人主演・映画『僕らのワンダフルデイズ』の劇中バンド、竹中直人率いる“シーラカンズ”のために、奥田民生が2曲を書き下ろし。奥田民生は音楽アドバイザーとして映画に関わり、主題歌「雲海」も提供。奥田民生&シーラカンズの楽曲、インスト含む全5曲を収録予定。「雲海」はユニコーンの再結成の活動の中、書き下ろされた、民生節全開のゆったりした心に染みる名曲です。

奥田民生ファンとしては、CDにも僕らの旅の民生バージョンを声付で入れて欲しかった。 DVDは最高!満足!

まだアルバムは聞いていないけど、映画は見てきました。
特にエンドロールに流れる「雲海」はもう、最高です。
映画を見終えて、あの歌詞とメロディが流れてくると
何もいえません。
本当に、いいうただと思います。

余命半年と宣告されたごくごく平凡なサラリーマンが、
学生時代の仲間を集めたバンド・シーラカンズで親父バンドコンテストを目指す！！

そんなストーリーを見事に具体化した奥田民生の劇中歌の「僕らの旅」は、
実際に映画の中で演奏していたシーラカンズのバージョンで収められている。

70年代の香りが溢れるサウンドと元々ドラマーの稲垣潤一は別にして、
宅間伸、段田安則、斉藤暁たちが特訓の末つむぎ出した音もとても味があります。

映画のサントラですが1曲の音楽としても胸が熱くなりました。
