ストーリーは、石川五右衛門が悪徳商人から盗み出した舶来の箱に
残されていた、秀吉が光秀に信長の暗殺を唆した証拠によって歴史
が動き出す、というもの。
信長・秀吉の時代に大泥棒として名を馳せた石川五右衛門の逸話が
原作です。

本作品は、脚本がすばらしい。信長暗殺や光秀討取・朝鮮出兵・
関ヶ原の合戦ときちんと史実を踏まえて矛盾なく構成されています。
信長に育てられた忍びの五右衛門がなぜ大泥棒になったのか、
釜茹でになった後はどう展開するのか、など、これらの疑問も
無理なく飲み込めます。話も伏線も分かりやすい。

ただ、紀里谷監督が織り成すCGには、目が疲れました。
CGで誇張された超人的な殺陣が速過ぎて見えない（苦笑
また、キャストは総じて画像処理されているのか、ちょいと生身
感がなかったですね。特に茶々に扮した広末涼子。
石川五右衛門を演じた江口洋介の野性味ある振舞いは良かった。
あ、お気に入りの福田麻由子が良い役をもらっていましたな。

この映画をはじめて観たときの、衝撃。
それは、「ブレードランナー」や「マトリックス」を初めて観たときの感覚に近かったです。

「映像が綺麗」「迫力ある」このような言葉だけでは言い表せない、これまでの既成概念を覆す映像世界は確実に観る者を圧倒します。今回はハリウッドの先端技術を取り入れた通常よりも高画質なブルーレイが発売されるということでうれしい限りです（涙）　

映像以外について言えば、壮大なストーリーの中にも、登場人物たちの関係が繊細に描かれている点はお見事！
本作はアクションという一ジャンルにとらわれず、歴史ミステリー、ラブストーリー、人間ドラマなど様々な要素を内包していて、この多様な世界観を見事一つにまとめ上げた紀里谷監督に拍手を送りたいと思います。

早くまたあの映像世界を家で堪能したい！
星五つ。

脚本はまー良いとして、アクションシーンが早すぎて
わかりにくい。パース付けすぎて見難い。
そこが劇場で見たときの感想です。
その点が問題なければ個人的にパーフェクトだったかなと思います。
あとエンタメ少し狙ったせいか、前作よりも熱いものが感じられませんでした。

とはいえ紀里谷映像はギトギト独特な映像で素晴らしいです。


このBDで気になるのが特典ですが
DVDなどのほうが特典が多いような気がするんですが、
そこがなんとも悲しいです。同じくらい入っているよう願います。
