上原ひろみのアルバムは全て購入していますが、正直タイムコントロール以降の作品にはあまり惹かれませんでした。
しかし、このアルバムは、久しぶりに上原ひろみの魅力が全開でした。
彼女はどうしてもテクニックの点で評価されることが多いのですが、作曲の才能もすごいと思います。
（元々バークリーではピアノ科ではなく、作曲科出身ですよね。）
日本人の琴線に触れる哀愁のあるメロディーに正確無比なテクニックが加わってすごい事になっています。
特にこのアルバムはソロなので、他の共演者の技量に合わせる必要もなく、自由奔放に弾きまくっています。
初期の上原作品のファンで、最近のアルバムに納得していなかった方に是非聴いていただきたいです。

　はじめてのソロということでワクワクしながら聴きました。
世界中を駆けめぐるhiromiだからこそ色んな土地のいろんな想いが入った
音楽を奏でられるのでしょう。いつも元気をもらっているhiromiの音楽ですが新しいアルバムをひっさげて秋から全国ツアーがはじまるようですね。毎年アルバムとコンサートをたのしみにしていて、今回も幸いチケットが取れたのでソロピアノを堪能したいと思う。
　アルバムに収められた音楽はどれも素晴らしい。「シシリアンブルー」の大人の雰囲気とシチリアの海と空が素敵な音となってる。「サムウェア」は人の大切さ、一人じゃないよって暖かく感じられる優しいメロディ。「アイランド・アゾレス」は島の色んな生物が元気よく生きてる！って感じの爽やかな風みたいな感じ。「パッヘルベルのカノン」は至福の音楽。「プレイストゥビー」は深遠なメロディ。哲学的すらある。付録DVDのコンサートの感動を鮮明に覚えている。
　DVDインタビューでの「３０代になる前に２０代の音を残しておきたかった」という言葉にhiromiの音楽に対する純粋な想いを垣間見た気がする。

上原ひろみのソロアルバムです。
意外なまでのメロウなプレイから彼女らしい爆発的な弾きまくりまで、
彼女のプレイそのものがつまってます。
彼女のファンはこんなアルバムを待ち望んでたんじゃないかな。
