ピアノブラックの塗装は漆塗りのような高級感があり，黒系のTVやインテリアに見事に調和します。
しかし表面に指紋や埃が付着しやすく，素手で触ることさえためらわれます。しかも非常にデリケートな塗装で，マイクロ繊維のメガネ拭き等で軽く拭くだけでも細かい磨き傷が付いてしまいます。（このことは付属の専用クロスの注意書きにも記載されてはいますが。）
「黒」に特にこだわりがなければ，従来の白ボディのほうが気軽に扱えてよいかと思います。

本体黒、リモコン(リモコンジャケットも黒)もヌンチャクも黒と全て黒づくしかと思えば、ACアダプターやケーブルなどは黒じゃなかったので少し残念。
本体同様にリモコンとヌンチャクも光沢のある黒なので、指紋やホコリがやや目立つ感じです・・・とはいえ、テカテカ黒光りするのは高級感があってカッコイイですね。

Wiiメニューはアップデート版が採用されていました。初期ロットの白いWiiと比べてチャンネルが結構増えていたりしますが、その多くはネットに繋がないと利用できないチャンネルなので、この部分はネットに繋がない人には魅力薄かもしれません。
ネットに繋がない人で関係ありそうなのは、SDメモリ関連でしょうか。ネットに繋いでアップデートしなくても、最初からSDカードメニューが導入されており、容量4G以上のSDHCカードなどが最初から使用できたりします。

ネットに接続できる環境さえあれば、シロもクロも色以外大差ないので、結局は好みの問題ですね。

・補足・
Wii本体は基本的に無線でネットに繋ぐようにできているので、家に無線でのネット環境が無く有線で接続しようとしている人は、Wii専用 LANアダプタ(もしくは他社製のWii対応LANアダプタ)とWiiまで届くLANケーブルを一緒に購入すると良いでしょう。

任天堂の言うとおり
グラフィックが綺麗≠面白いゲーム
であることは間違いないのですが、残念ながら

コントローラーを振り回す≠面白い
であることもまた事実なんですな。

現状のラインナップは操作方法を体感型にしただけのゲームが多く
最初はなかなか面白いのですが振り回すこと自体には意外と早く飽きます。

PS3であろうがWiiであろうが結局はソフト次第であることには
変わりはなく、敷居が低いという点においてWiiが売れているだけです。
コントローラーを振り回すことに頼らないソフトが必要なんだと思います。
