山口百恵初、高音質のBlu-spec　CD。
『GOLDEN☆BEST　山口百恵　コンプリート・シングルコレクション』は、2002年発売の「GOLDEN☆BEST/PLAYBACK MOMOE part2 」の再発であるが、今回の発売にあたり、未収録だった「謝肉祭」「ありがとうあなた」「赤い運命」「美・サイレント（リアレンジ）」の4曲が追加され完全なコンプリートシングルコレクションとなった。さらに今回は、ブックレットが素晴らしい。シングルジャケットの別カット写真がオールカラーでのっており、とても新鮮。さらに収録曲は＜全曲2009年デジタルリマスター＞されこれまでの音源とは違った奥行きのある立体的な音となり、Blu-spec　CDにて高音質となっている。同時発売で2種の『GOLDEN☆BEST　山口百恵　コンプリート・シングルコレクション』が発売されたが、限定盤は、高音質のBlu-spec　CD、通常版は通常のＣＤとなっており、両者は200円しか違わず前者の限定盤Blu-spec　CDがお勧めです。これまでシングルを集めたＣＤを持っている方でもあらためて購入する価値のあるアルバムとなっています。個人的には、Ａ面Ｂ面全曲を収録したコンプリートシングルコレクションが希望ですが、レコード会社の今回のお仕事は見事で値段、内容ともに満足です。

楽曲の高音質もさることながら、ブックレットの豪快さに参ってしまいました。
なんと、シングルレコードの別カット写真（初出）と曲目を当時のロゴを使って各ページ表示しています。
全て、オールカラーという豪華さ

またベスト発売･･･という思いを見事に裏切られました。
上々の出来です！

2002年発売の旧２枚組ゴールデンベストには入らなかった「謝肉祭」が収録されました。
（歌詞中の「ジプシー」が差別用語に当たるとして収録を見送っていた時期があったそうです）
経緯はともあれ百恵さんのシングルでは外せない後期の代表曲であり、これが入ったことで
シングルＡ面コンプリとなり、しっくりした誰にでも文句なく薦められるベストＣＤとなりました。
旧ゴールデンベストの34曲に「謝肉祭」、ドラマ関連の「ありがとう あなた」と「赤い運命」、
引退後の音源から「美・サイレント (リアレンジ)」の計４曲が追加収録されています。
