素晴らしい高画質です。特に空の青に感動します。
本編フィルムのタイトル表記は、ジャケットに「THE ROAD WARRIOR」と記載がありますが、ちゃんと「MAD MAX 2」と出ます。
本作の日本国内ワイドスクリーン版ソフトでは、初めてです。
（ＤＶＤは逆に、ジャケットに「MAD MAX 2」と記載されているのに、「THE ROAD WARRIOR」の表記です。ワイド版ＬＤも「THE ROAD WARRIOR」の表記でした）
以前のワイド版ＬＤ、ＤＶＤではカットされていた＜ウェズが自分の腕から矢を引き抜くシーン＞が、ノーカット収録されています。（ワンカットだけですが・・・）
このことからも、オリジナルフィルムから新たにマスタリングしているということがわかります。
これでやっと「日本で公開されたそのままのかたち」で鑑賞できるようになりました。

ワーナホームビデオに電話で確認したところ、日本語吹き替えが収録されているそうです（ドルビーデジタル１．０ｃｈ）
マックスの吹き替えが山寺広一だそうなので日曜洋画劇場のバージョンだと思われます
本当はゴールデン洋画劇場の柴田恭平バージョンが聞きたかったので少し残念です

DVD版が片面一層の、ビデオレベルの画質です。
ですから、一目瞭然。
アスファルトの粒々、車の細かい部品、犬の毛並み、すべてクッキリ。
オーストラリアの、地平線の美しさ！。
以前は、画質の荒さも、味だと思ってました。
ですが、見てしまうとDVDには、もう戻れない。
