2つの省電力機能で無駄な電力を大幅カット。動画や写真のデータを高速に保存できるTurboUSB機能搭載
   待機時はモータの回転を止めて節電する「省電力モード」、電源の切り忘れを防ぐ「切り忘れ防止(PC連動AUTO電源)機能」でしっかり節電。また、USBのスピードを向上させる「TurboUSB(ターボUSB)」機能を搭載。シンプルでお求めやすいHDD。

無駄な電力を約75％カットする「省電力モード」搭載(Windows Vista/XP/2000対応)
   HDDは読み書き時を中心にアクセスするため、パソコン使用時の大半は待機状態となる。付属ソフト『省電力ユーティリティ』は、一定時間データの転送がない待機時に、HDDの回転を停止し「省電力モード」に切り替える。「省電力モード」時は、通常待機(アイドル)時と比べ、電力消費を約75％カット。HD-ESU2シリーズは、環境にも家計にもやさしい外付けHDD。

実効転送速度がスピードアップする「TurboUSB(ターボUSB)」機能
 「TurboUSB(ターボUSB)」機能は、転送方法を最適化し、USB2.0の実効転送速度をスピードアップする。写真や動画など大容量ファイルを扱うユーザに最適。

基本的には満足のいく商品です。
・音が静か
・USB連動で電源 ON/OFF
・そこそこの容量/価格
・TurboUSBによる転送速度
などは、アピールポイントだと思います。
ただし、省電力に惹かれて購入した私にとって、
Vista以外では、自動で復帰しない（エクスプローラーからも消える）のは
とても残念でした。

大容量データを扱うため、サブＨＤＤとして購入しましたが、期待以上に転送スピードも速く、
ターボＵＳＢという機能で、さらに早くすることができたので個人的には満足しています。
５００ＧＢで１万円を切っているので、値段と容量を比べても、やはりお買い得といわざるを得ないですね
熱もそれほどもたないし、比較的静かで、ものすごく大きいわけでもないので重宝しています。

三ヵ月で壊れました
もちろん落としたりなんだりなんかしてません
いくらなんでも壊れるの早すぎです。
なので絶対オススメできません

机の下に置いてるせいもあって動作音も気にならないし、ACアダプターもなく（電源内蔵）コンセント周りもすっきりで、不満なく使えており、満足です。
