本当に仲のいい友人と車に乗って旅行をしている。
そんな楽しいときに、静かな音でかけると、
楽しい旅行が更に楽しくなる。
Jack Johnsonの音楽は、それ自体が主役になるのではなく、
僕たちの生活に色をつけてくれるような、そんな素敵な音楽だ。

今回のCDも、
「いまは忙しいけど、いつかあいつと、また旅行に行きたいな。」
なんて気にさせてくれる、最高の一枚。
春に備えて、是非。

サントラを含めれば５枚目となるJack Johnsonの新作。
穏やかだけど、たくさんの仲間とサーフィンを楽しんでバーベキューをするような賑やかさがあったこれまでとは少し作風が違います。
波の音からはちょっとだけ遠ざかり、潮風が届く家の中で、ゆったりと家族と話しながらギターを弾いているような、そんなしっとりとした暖かみがアルバム全体に溢れています。
自らのレーベル“Brushfire”で作った、ソーラーエネルギーを利用したスタジオでの録音という点もすばらしい。
愛する人のとこに帰りたくなる１枚です。

日本の寒い冬に・・ジャックの歌声が陽だまりの温かさを運んできてくれます・・
Weekendやドライブで聞きたいアルバム。アットホームな雰囲気の歌声で、日々のストレスから開放されました。気持ちだけでも、ちょっとだけハワイへ逃避できるかも？　　
全体的に優しい音なので、ＢＧＭに最適だと思います。
