これは現行でHORIから発売されている液晶フィルターポータブルと仕様やサイズに変わりはなく、PSP-1000・PSP-2000両対応という事をパッケージを変えて表現したかったそうです。

お問い合わせ頂きました商品につきましては、現状発売されている
商品のパッケージを新型ＰＳＰ対応について表記を追加変更した
仕様となりますので、液晶フィルター自体の仕様変更はございません。

「貼りやすさ優先のため」かどうかはわかりませんが・・・
最近のPSPは液晶部分の周りに段差があり、画面より大きいサイズにすると
段差付近が浮き、見栄えが悪かったりはがれやすくなったりします。
どちらかといえばPSPのフェイスプレート側に相性的な問題があるわけです。

液晶フィルターとしては透明度も高く　かなりオススメの商品だと思います。

追記分
液晶フィルター選びのポイント（個人的考察）
・硬さ（硬いほど傷に強くて位置決めし易く、空気が抜きにくい）
・サイズ（本体段差のため）
・透明度
いくつか貼り比べてみました（本体はPSP-2000)

「液晶フィルターポータブル」
この商品です。透明度は抜群。サイズは前述の通りで貼付面、表面と両面とも剥離シート付き。
表面剥離シートが少し硬めで位置決めしやすく、フィルター自体は柔らかく薄め。剥がす場合には一番苦労するかも。

「目にラクシートP」
ゲームテック製です。貼付面に剥離シート付き。サイズは一回り大きく、フィルターは多少硬め。
やはり段差付近が浮きますが強度はありそうです。透明度は並くらい。

「百円均一のもの（ダイソー）」
サイズは一回り大きめ。貼付面に剥離シート付き。ペラペラなため柔らかく、位置がずれやすく貼るのに苦労しました。
強度が不安。鋭利なものに触れると簡単に傷がつきます。透明度はそれなり。値段相応の品質ですね。

両面剥離シート付き、フィルター自体はしなやかで強く透明度抜群、
画面ジャストサイズのものでもあれば完璧といったところでしょうか。
参考になれば幸いです。

CCFF7の同梱版のPSP-2000に貼ってみました
その感想です

まずサイズが合っていません、短いです
(左に合わせて貼ったので、右はシートが貼りきれていません･･･)

またPSP-2000の液晶部分は上下部分が若干盛り上がっているのか、
シートが浮いています･･･空気が入ったような状態になっています
(これはこの製品の問題ではありませんが･･･)

私は液晶に傷さえ付かなければ問題ないと思っているのでこのまま使う予定ですが、
これからPSP-2000とその液晶保護フィルターの購入を考えている方にはいろいろな方のレビューを見て、
きちんと合うフィルターを見つけることをお勧めいたします
