　遅ればせながら、２００８年２月１５日の"和幸"ユニットのＮＨＫでのスタジオ・ライブを観て、感激して急いで手に入れたＣＤ。タワレコには１枚だけ売れ残っていた。残り物には福があるというじゃないか、こんちくしょう。このユニットを取り上げたＮＨＫもエラいが、このＣＤにはあらためて感激、感涙もの。この６０〜７０年代のロック魂を反映したパロディー精神がわかる人は、すごい、わからない人はどうしようもないが、わかって欲しい。
　
　Ｓ＆Ｇの雰囲気、Beatlesの思惑、「和」と「幸」の生き様、となりのオッサンの人生模様がほとばしり出るこのギター･テクニックと腹の底からしぼり出す口先だけのこれ見よがしの歌唱力、そんじょそこいらのスタジオ･ミュージシャンが、ごめんなさい、と尻尾を巻いて逃げていく様が目に見える。
　
　６９年にイギリスでデビューしていながら、今までタイムマシンに乗って、虹の彼方に消えていたとは到底思わせない充実振りである。あのWoodstickでの満員札止めライブパフォーマンスが無事収録されているのがファンにとってはこれまた懐かしくもあり嬉しくもあり（？？？）。

「ゴールデン・ヒッツ」というタイトルなので、昔のフォークのカバーと思いきや、カバー曲は３曲。John Kazukoh(加藤和彦)とPaul Kazukoh(坂崎幸之助)がKAZUKOH名義で作ったオリジナル。作詞にはザ・フォーク・クルセダーズのきたやまおさむも２曲参加(1.&12.)、「あの素晴しい愛をもう一度」を小品化したような「生命」、ザ・ビー・ジーズの「マサチューセッツ」を思わせる「Her Hometown」、ザ・ビートルズの「I Am The Walrus」、「Hello Goodbye」などを取り入れたと思われる「ナニモナイ」、インスト「無貪」など、遊び心たっぷりのアルバム。

新しくもあり?懐かしくもあり、坂崎さんと組んでもやはり加藤和彦さんの世界ドップリです。スマスマで見た「帰って来た酔っぱらい」みたいなフィーリングを期待してたのですが・・・。黄昏ビギンはほっとしました。気になる方はレンタルで借りて聞いてみられてからでも・・・。悪くはないので。
