【物語】
江戸吉原の遊女屋に身を隠しているアトル。その遊女屋で、遊女を侍らせ豪遊している少年の絵師がいた。彼の名は河鍋狂斎。狂斎は、遊女屋で岡引の玉兵と出会う。玉兵は、奇士たちを追って吉原へとやって来ていた。玉兵は往壓ら奇士の行動を探っているのだった。庶民には知られていない奇士の話に興味を持つ狂斎。そして、奇士との関わりがあると思われるアトルの美しさに目を奪われ・・・。

ここに来て、ようやくこの作品が伝えようとしている『もの』が少しずつ分かってきたような気がします。(あまりここで言ってしまうと逆に皆さん一人一人が感じているものが薄らいでしまう人もいるかもしれませんのでここはあえてふせておきます)
ただ、何かしら気付く人はいると思います。
1話目の衝撃的な始まりから、見れば見るほどそのストーリーに引き込まれ、出てくる登場人物たちに感情移入する事などもありましたが、ここに来るまでがあっという間でした。そう、最初から見ている自分自身が何か『試されている』雰囲気に感じとられました。

もちろん、皆さん一人一人がこういった感情を持たれるわけではないです。ただ、この作品が伝えるものその一つ一つに意味があり、感じとったものをどう受けとめるかは一人一人が違います。
私はこの作品を通じて、面白さと同時にいろんな事を考えさせられて見てきました。
現代に抱える問題などもちらほら関係していますし、ただのアニメとして見るには勿体ない気がします。打ち切りなんてもっての他です。

是非、最初から見ていただき、もっと多くの人にいろんな『もの』を感じとって欲しい作品です。この巻だけとは言わず全巻共々お薦め致します。

ファンの間でも評判の良い吉原編収録

この話に登場する妖夷『花変』
その最後は個人的に妖奇士の中で一番綺麗な、そして一番切ないものだと思ってます
是非見てください

他にも新キャラ河鍋狂斎が登場、OP,EDが新しくなったり奇士達の日常もチラッと写ったりヒヲウ戦記のマスラオが登場したりと見所沢山
あんまりオススメはしませんが、説十三は総集編なのでこの巻から見始めるのも良いかもしれません


ただ残念なのは新ED
歌,映像共に良いんですが今回の話には合わない
余韻が感じられない
