新旧、いろんなクリスマスの名曲が収録されたコンピレーションアルバムです。

このCDが薦められる大きな理由は、二枚組みでこの価格と言うのもさることながら、収録されてる全２９曲について、それぞれ丁寧に解説をしている所です。
その歌のヒットした背景や、歌手の近況等、いろいろな事がそれぞれの歌に詳細に記されているため、ただ単にCDを聞くだけでなく、聞きながら思いを寄せ、懐かしむ事が出来ます。

最近のCD業界では、以前の様なただ単にヒット曲を収録して販売すると言う安易な考えではなく、CDを楽しみたい人の側に立って丁寧に制作してくれてる物が多いので、とても嬉しい事だと思います。

ここに収録されてる曲は、１０〜２０年前にヒットしたものが多数ですが、今でもクリスマスシーズンにはラジオでリクエストされる名曲揃いで、今年も、そしてこれから先も楽しめるコンピレーションと言っても過言ではないと思います。

杉山清貴さんの『最後のHoly Night』は、TBSのベストテンで三週連続の１位を取った素晴らしい名曲で、当時自分はレコードで何度も聞きました。
プリプリの『DING DONG』は、彼女達が最高の絶頂期に発表したアルバムに収録されてたノリの良い曲で、若い青年の方々はこの歌をカーステでガンガン聞いたのではないでしょうか。
中山美穂さんの『遠い街のどこかで…』は、彼女がアイドルから女優へと本格的にシフトしている時期に主演したドラマの主題歌で、歌もアイドルチックでは無く、重厚なサウンドで味わい深い名曲です。

他にも、松田聖子さんや森高千里さん等のアイドルから、渡辺美里さんや稲垣潤一さんや浜田省吾さんなどのアーチストに、SPEEDやglobeの大ヒット曲など思いに残る歌がたくさんで、本当に手に入れて良かったと思えるアルバムです。

去年自分が購入した時は青色のジャケットでしたが、今年は赤色になってるんですね。

このコンピレーション、是非シリーズ化して、パート２や３を出してもらえたら嬉しいです。
