【アーティストについて】
岩田アッチュ(Vo,Chorus,Piano&keyboards)、栗原稔(Bass,Programing,Whistle)、稲寺佑紀(Drums & Chorus)、伊藤孝氣(Guitar & Programing) から成る、女2人男2人による4人組。
2003年4月 1stアルバム『テニス』を発売。ニルギリスの多面性を表しつつもポップにまとまったその内容は評判が高く、2004年5月 2ndアルバム『new standard』も更なる評判を獲得する。
2006年 DefSTAR RECORDSに移籍し、シングル『sakura』『24サーチライト』を発売、6月には待望の3rdアルバム『BOY』をリリースする。

女性二人、男二人によるNILGILISの3rd。
女性ヴォーカル。

正直、ここまで煌びやかな音を出すバンドとは思っていませんでした。
基本的にダンスビートの入ったエレクトリニックポップスといった感じ。
疾走感のある「sakura」や、「虹」も良い。

acchu iwataの可愛いヴォーカルが最大のウリと感じるが、
まず、曲が丁寧に作られていて好感が持てる。

しかし、まだ、未熟な部分も感じる。
けど、そこがまた「若さ」を感じられ、凛とした空気感があり、
非常に愛しい。
若々しくも、すがすがしい、聴いていて気持ちが軽くなるアルバムでございます。

まずはジャケット、毎度ながらも遊び心が見られるジャケットで一安心です。こういう遊びもアルバムの重要な要素ですから。
そして、肝心の曲はというと、今回のアルバムでは昔を大事にしながら新たな世界観を構築している感じです。
テニスからニュースタンダードの間に曲調に変化がみられたので、今作でも曲調が大きく変わってしまうのではないかと少々心配していたんですが杞憂でした。
昔のNirgilisを匂わせる曲調を織り交ぜながら、新たな曲に挑戦しているという積極性は高く評価できるポイントでしょう。
ニュースタンダードからのレベルＵＰとNirgilisの作品に対する意気込みが分かりやすく伝わってくるアルバムです。

これからの活躍がますます気になります！！

この心のはちきれんばかりのときめきを何て表現したらいいんだろう。誰かに恋して、その一挙手一投足に夢中になって、デートして手をつないだ瞬間に訪れる、あのどきどきする感じをどうやったら誰かに伝えられるんだろう。
ニルギリスが鳴らしたのは、まさにボーイミーツガールな、きらめく青春一代交響曲。こんなのを曲にしちゃたら、もう何も言えないよ。どこかガールパンクなアッチュの声が余計に切なく響いてしまう。全てを欲するが故にマッシュアップ、つまり全てを混ぜて混ぜてまた一周して戻ってきたら、切なさ全開でしたという有り得ない幸運。ゴールしてもまだ周回遅れを追い抜いていくような、最高にハイな奇跡、自分自身を祝福する曲たち。
踊ったらいいじゃない。泣いたらいいじゃない。そして、笑ったらきっと楽しいんだよ。
