ボーカルスクールの講師でもある、I've歌姫”島みやえい子”が歌うの「ひぐらしのなく頃に」
曲全体はI've独特のダーク調。
ちょっとあやしげなイントロに始まり、ＢメロではI've独特とも言うべき、ピアノの伴奏がとても鳥肌もの。
Ｂメロで盛り上げ、サビの始まりは音が低いのが特徴。
原作をとても大切にした歌詞作りに驚かされました。歌詞を見ればもう後ろは振り向けなくなります･･･。
怖いほどアニメのオープニング映像にマッチしています。
”怖カッコイイ””怖ウツクシイ”この１曲、是非聴いてみてはいかがでしょうか？

正直なところ、
ひぐらしの世界観を歌で表現するのは
無理だと思っていました。
ですが、聴いた途端、
度肝を抜かれました！
雰囲気たっぷりの前奏、
誘い込むような恐怖を感じる出だし、
サビに向かって伸び上がる余興部分、
そして、
ひぐらしの世界観をシンプルかつ
美しい旋律で歌い上げたサビ部分、
どれをとっても本当に素晴らしく、
まだひぐらしを知らない方も、
思わず引き込まれてしまうような歌声には、
「お見事」の一言です！！

5.0 out of 5 stars I'veと島みやえい子がおくる、新感覚恐怖系わらべ歌, 2006/6/10
　I'veの歌い手の方々は歌のスタイルが異なっていて各々印象が違います。おおよそ島宮さんの場合は、今流行のサイケデリックなトランスではなく、コーラスを多用した幻想的なゴア寄りのトランスというスタイルです。
　I'veでは曲が出来てから曲に合った方を歌い手に決めるそうですが、アニメ「ひぐらしのなく頃に 」の神秘性と恐怖を十二分に醸し出している今作、これはもう「島宮さん以外考えられない」といった印象で、納得の選出です。そういえば島宮さんといえば、以前あの「とおりゃんせ」のI've MIX版を歌っておられました。そっちも恐怖系のわらべ歌で、今作と似たような雰囲気のアレンジでした。そんなこともあったので多分余計に、コレを島宮さんが歌って納得、と感じたのでしょうね。
　この、I'veと島みやえい子がおくる新感覚恐怖系わらべ歌「ひぐらしのなく頃に 」…、この夏を涼しく迎えるにあたって手に入れておくと良いと思います。併せてアニメもチェックすると尚良いでしょう。
