「闘牌伝説アカギDVD-BOX 1 覚醒の章」の続きになります。心理戦でのかけひきがマンガと同じくやたら長いので、少し疲れるかもしれません。ただBOXでの発売なので次の発売までイライラすることもなく一気に見終わります。本作はDVD-BOX1と同じく、もう繰り返し10回以上は見ていますが麻雀のルールも知らないわたしでも素直に名作だと言えます。

DVD-BOX第2弾です。

麻雀と言うギャンブルを通して、これほど人間の持つ心の弱さ、醜さ、通俗性、言うなれば人間性を表した作品は、なかなか他には無さそう（他をたくさん知っているわけではないので、断定は出来ませんが）。

逆に言えば、ギャンブルとしての麻雀は人間を裸にするゲームだ、とも言えます。
それはともかく、ストーリーのおもしろさ、卓に集まった人それぞれの心理、それを解説するナレーション（またはギャラリー）などなど、面白いの一言に尽きます。

特にこのBOX第2弾は、アカギの対戦相手の鷲巣との間でやりとりされる深遠な心理戦（心理解説？）が見所！
残念ながら途中で終わってますが（この作品が制作された時点で、原作が完結していないため、そうせざるを得ない）、ディスク4枚でこの値段の高さを差し引いても、買う価値はあると断言できます！

と言うのも、私はすでに10回以上全編を通して見ていますが、飽きません。
DVDとして購入し、繰り返し見るに耐えうる魅力がこの作品にはあります。

ガラス牌を用いた、特殊ルール鷲巣麻雀スタート。
ガラス牌という条件が加わっただけで、心理戦がさらに深くなる。
「破滅vs死」の極限の状況で繰り広げられる「博打」。
その先に待つのは、理不尽な死か、それとも……。
