前のスペシャルコレクションを持っている方にはかなりビミョーなＤＶＤですね。
絵コンテとインタビューが少し長くなっているという事なんですが。
しかし、作品的には文句なく五つ星。
また、そのインタビューもかなり内容が濃く一見の価値有りです。
前の版を持っていない方、まだ作品を見ていない方には大絶賛でお勧めします。

最近のジブリ作品は「ゲド戦記」にしても、「ハウルの動く城」にしても
原作を変えすぎて、ゲド戦記にいたっては、原作者が怒ったという話もあるらしい。

しかし、これは、原作に忠実。
せりふも現在では言わないような言い回しさえ、不自然なまでに忠実に再現している。
そのことによって、宮澤賢治の意図することが、正確に伝わってくる気がします。

小学３年生の息子は、このＤＶＤを見たのち、学校の図書館で原作を読んだらしい。
「せりふが全く一緒だった」と言って、夕食のとき、たいそう感慨深げでした。


原作を読んでイメージしていたものが壊れてしまうという意見もありますが、
私は、実に自然に、見ることができました。

宮澤賢治が持っていたという
プフィッツナー指揮のベートーヴェンの交響曲第６番「田園」が
ＤＶＤ２に収録されていますが、
これは、１９２９年の演奏にしては録音状態もよく、
バックに流れる宮澤賢治の生涯と岩手県の風景が実にマッチしています。
演奏自体は、テンポが遅く、あまり好きな演奏ではありませんが、貴重な記録ではあります。

　全編を通じて流れるベートーベンの「田園」に合わせて展開される花巻？の城、街や田園風景が良く描かれています。宮沢賢治の原作はこうだったなどとこだわらずに一つの世界を作り上げているのは立派と言えます（場面構成はディズニー映画ファンタジアの影響もあるような気がします）。出てくる擬人化された動物たちもかわいいし、全体としてはなごみ系の仕上がりです。作画は確かに未来少年コナンにも似ていて、ジブリの原点的なものです。
　このＤＶＤも今はジブリコレクションシリーズに入っていますが、昔は色々なところが出していたような気がします。
