TYPE-MOON原作｢Fate/stay night｣TVアニメ(全24話)の第22〜24話を収録したDVDです｡
正直､原作から入った自分から見ると全体的にやや物足りない､
言い変えれば可も無く不可もないそれなりの仕上がりだと総評したいところですが､
(※おおよそ★2点程度でしょうか)
最終話｢全て遠き理想郷｣の完成度は異様に高く､
英雄王ギルガメッシュvsアーサー王セイバーの一騎打ちの大胆な構図と怒涛の演出､
スピード感に長けた暴走作画のテンションが最後の決戦に相応しい
修羅場の高揚感を与えてくれます｡

また､最終話はBパート(後半)を全てエピローグに費やしている点も高く評価したい点です｡
原作を単になぞるだけでなく､シリーズをまとめる最後の締めを時間をかけて
丁寧に情緒感たっぷり､少しの寂しさを胸に残して幕を閉じていきます｡

自分の過去に決別し､役目を終えた彼女の最期の静かな表情から始まるエンディングの切なさ｡
最終話限定のタイナカサチ｢君との明日｣に乗せて､
五十音別に流れる製作関係者全てを網羅したスタッフロールは
視聴者も含め､全ての人に感謝の念を込めた演出でしょうか｡
そしてラストカット､彼女が残していった獅子のぬいぐるみを画面に捉えて終わる
締めの美しさに唸らせられます｡

ビシュアルノベル(サウンドノベル)ゲームという媒体をアニメ化することの難しさと
スタッフの気苦労が伝わってくる作品ですが､
完全に昇華しきれない原作をうまく繋ぎ合わせようとするスタッフの試み､
第14話｢理想の果て｣での『無限の剣製』発動に至る入魂の演出が轟くオリジナルエピソードや､
陳腐さを残すことのないよう細心の注意を図った美しい最終話など
要所要所のに光る巧みな仕上がりにも要注目です｡

アニメＤＶＤ収集趣味の自分ですが、中古収集が主なのですが今回は全て新品で揃えました。
傑作とされる作品には共通して鑑賞後の名残惜しさがありますが、この作品もそんな気分になれた作品だったと思います。　あえて細かい箇所の描写批評はしませんが、絵もストーリーも
高水準だったと思います。　ゲームはやらない私なので、比較出来ませんが、ゲームとアニメ
は違うカテゴリーと思います。

多少の改変はしながらも基本的には原作の設定に忠実だったアニメ版Fate。
原作ファンに配慮したためなのか、アニメからゲームに繋げるためなのか分かりませんが、忠実にした所為で全体的に説明台詞が多く、ややテンポが悪いです（特に前半）。
個人的には、アニメ単体でもしっかり理解できるように簡潔明瞭にして頂きたかった。

戦闘シーンは後半に行くにつれ徐々に良くなりましたが、もう少し力を入れて欲しかったというのが本音です。
特に15話のバーサーカーVSセイバーはお気に入りのシーンだったので、あの出来は正直がっかりしました。

上記のような不満はあったものの、アニメ単体として見ても十分に楽しめる作品です。
最終話のエピローグはきっと心に残るはずですよ。
