ゲームファンなら最も馴染みが深いであろう､"ドラクエのスライム"をそのまま立体化。以前、ブルーの"並スライム"バージョンは発売されていたのですが、今回はメタリックシルバーに輝く"メタルスライム"仕様です。
シンプルながら､飽きのこないデザインとは正にこのことでしょうね。色もシルバーで見栄えがいいし､｢ドラゴンクエスト｣のロゴ入りステッカーが貼られたディスプレイスタンドに乗せて飾っておくだけでも､ファンにとっては充分に価値があると思います。
ただ､あくまで雰囲気を楽しむものであり､コントローラとしては｢握りにくい｣｢ボタン(特にLRボタンは最悪)が押し辛い｣｢スティック操作もし辛い｣などかなり不便な点が目に付きます。アクション系のゲームには使用しない方が良いでしょう。対戦系ならハンディとしての使用もありかもしれませんが(笑)。
ただ､長時間連続での使用が難しい(グリップ感が無いに等しく非常に疲れます)ので､健康のためには良いコントローラといえるかもしれません。まぁ冗談ですけどね。あくまでオブジェとして飾っておくのがベターかと思います。

TGS2005で思わず衝動買いしてしまった「メタルスライムコントローラ」ですが、はっきり言って高いです。
前回のスライムコントローラの時はドラゴンクエストVIIIと同時発売ということもあり勢い勇んで購入しましたが、その操作性は一般的に言って最悪でゲームのジャンルを選ぶものでしたが、今回の「メタコン」は外箱も空けず単なるオブジェとして飾るのみで、コントローラとして使用するつもりはさらさらありません。
個人的には「ベス」を期待していたのですが、既にコントローラとしての役目を終えたスライムの横にメタルを並べて置いて飾ってもあまりシックリきません。
意見は分かれると思いますが、「オブジェとしても使用できるコントローラ」というより「コントローラとしても使用できるオブジェ」というほうがピッタリだと思います。
コントローラとしての値段で考えると、特に今回の「メタコン」は塗装に多少金が掛かったことあっての値段なので仕方ないかもしれませんが、コレクターであれば決して高くない値段なのではと思います。
