新世紀エヴァンゲリオンが始まってからdecade（１０年）が経ちました。それでも勢いがとどまる事を知らない。そんな中で発売されたこのアルバム。「残酷な天使のテーゼ」で始まり、「天国の記憶」で終わる。

何気なく聞いて安らぎ、何度聞いても飽きないアルバムをご存知でしょうか？このアルバムはまさにその通り。一曲目の「残酷な天使のテーゼ」のリズミカルなテンポにより、気持ちの高鳴ってきて、「ＦＬＹ　ＭＥ　ＴＯ　ＴＨＥ　ＭＯＯＮ」で高まった気持ちを静める。この落差がまた何とも無く清々しいのです。そして八曲目の「魂のルフラン」でまた気持ちの高揚と静まりを感じ、最後の綾波レイ（林原めぐみ）の声で閉める。

要はサントラと考えられないほどハイクオリティーなアルバムです。１０年間の集大成であると断言できます。聞いていない方はいかがでしょうか？

アニメソングというのは、どこか普通の曲に比べて見劣りするものが多いですがEVAソングはそれを一切感じさせません。EVAの曲はどれも心にしみじみと、しかし、力強く感じさせるところが多くあり、歌詞もテンポも素晴らしいと思います。残酷な天使テーゼをはじめ新曲もカバーされ、それでこの価格はお手ごろだと思います。EVAのCDはレンタルして聞いていましたが、この際思い切って購入したのも、これらが決め手となっています。

　新世紀ＥＶＡＮＧＥＬＩＯＮ
　アニメもさることながら、その音楽に魅せられた人も多々いるはずだ。エヴァのサントラは多くあるので、まず、購入するとしたらこれではなく、Refrain of Evangelionをお勧めする。
　だからこれを購入するにはある程度エヴァの曲を聞き、良いと思ってからの方がいいだろう。それにそちらの方がよりエヴァを理解できたと言ってよい。
　曲目自体はやはり他のサントラと同じものが多いが、「テーゼ」はフルだし、「ルフラン」もある。また、あまり知られていないだろう曲、「心よ原始に戻れ」が入っていることは注目だろう。決して上記二曲に劣らないので、聞いたことがない人は是非聞いてほしい。
　とりあえず、テーゼ、ルフランは１０周年バージョンも入っているが、これは好みが分かれそうだ。だから、これが目的の人はちょっと考えたほうがいいだろう。
　そして、圧巻はやはり林原さんの新曲「天国の記憶」である。
　これが奥深い。聞けば聞くほどはまっていく。６分強なのでローテーションして聞きたくなるか。
　最後まで「悲しみ」が前面に出されたレイだが、これを聞くと感動を得られることだろう。
　エヴァ１０周年というよりは、「エヴァの新しい曲が出た」というところか。
