5.0 out of 5 stars 森崎東脚本の傑作・怪奇作, 2008/10/5
脚本を書いた森崎東の森崎節満載の映画であり、山田洋次の要素は無い。本作に人情喜劇を期待するのは無いものねだりである。山田作品としては失敗作である。しかし、失敗作は価値が無いのかというと、そうでは無い。本作は山田洋次が撮った森崎作品として大傑作だからである。谷啓がポパイ、倍賞千恵子がオリーヴ、ハナ肇がブルートというのが宣伝文句だったが、そんな惹句はウソ八百である。冒頭、倍賞が演ずるバスガイドが「墓場行きですよ！」と乗客に向かって言う。その乗客がオバアさんなのだ。作者のなんたる悪意！この場面で仰天しない人はもうこの映画についていくことはできない。ハナ肇演ずる主人公が理不尽な暴力の塊りなのだ。村人たちも善意の人ではない。骨を食わされる、死体と一緒に踊る場面はある。市民感覚を逆なでする場面の連続である。似たような映画にハナ肇と緑魔子が主演した森崎脚本・監督の傑作『生まれ変った為五郎』があるが、そちらには善意があった。本作には人情や善意は無い。渡辺祐介監督・森崎東脚本の『いい湯だな全員集合』と同様の悪意に満ちた傑作である。

ハナ肇と倍賞千恵子のコンビによる喜劇一発シリーズもこれが掉尾。掉尾を飾る傑作と書きたいが、嘘はつけない。シリーズ中、もっともまとまりがなくて品がなくて悪趣味で、ストーリーがつまらなくてキャラクターに愛着が持てない作品になってしまっている。同監督による「なつかしい風来坊」では気のいい暴れん坊だったが、今作のハナ肇は頭のおかしい暴れん坊である。観客の拍手など求めようがない。倍賞千恵子演じるキャラクターは芯のある、それでいて普通の女性らしさも備えた倍賞にしては異色のキャラとして描かれているだけに、惜しい。谷啓との恋愛模様ももどかしさが最後まで続いてすっきりしない幕切れにつながってしまっている。
劇中で２点ほど、吐き気がするほど趣味の悪いシーンがあるのだが、山田洋次のダークサイドが暴走してしまった結果だろう。第一作の「一発勝負」の設定で続篇を作っておけば、結構人気を得られていたかもしれないと思うと、残念だ。
