木村大は今回の留学で多くの事を学び、その結果がこの『カリフォルニアの風』に反映していると思う。
あまり、音楽に知識豊富な自分では無いが、もっと若かった頃の木村大は技術面が（スピード感など）先立っていた様に思えます。
（技術面ばかりだと非難する訳じゃなく、若い時に出来る弾き方として私は、とらえています。）

けれども、『カリフォルニアの風』は、一気に人間味が増して、聞いてて懐かしい気分になりました。
やっと彼なりのペースでの本領発揮という感じで嬉しかったです、技術だけで終わってしまう人では無いと願っていましたし。

人それぞれ、音の好みというのが有りますので星四つにさせて頂きました。
個人的には、星五つという事で。

andrew yorkと木村大の共演作です。クラシック音楽というよりjazzに近い演奏なんですが…木村大のリズムの感じ方がクラシック・ギター・プレイヤー特有のモノで、曲によってはパーカッション等の定形ビートに乗りきれていない印象を受けます。とはいえアルバム全体の雰囲気や曲はとても良いと思います。

押尾コータロー、小沼ようすけ、デパペペが好きな人には好し。
「クラシックギター」というジャンルは「クラシック」と名はついてるが、そんなに堅苦しくない。むしろ、右手５本で弾くからロックよりギターの超絶技巧が楽しめていいかも。今回のこのアルバムは全曲アンドリュー・ヨーク作曲で、ﾍﾞｰｽとﾊﾟｰｶｯｼｮﾝが加わり（！）ＰＯＰでジャージーだ。「カルフォルニアの風」というタイトル通りさわやかだ。木村の持ち味である力強さ、爽快さが発揮されている。1曲目はボサノヴァのような感じの名曲だが従来のファンは　このリラックスした弾き方を意外に感じるのでは。「ｻﾝﾊﾞｰｽﾄ」のアレンジも目新しい。
