静岡県掛川市のつま恋多目的広場にて行ったライブ映像を収録。映像の一部はこれまでに発表されたが、完全な映像はこれが初。幻のドキュメントフィルムを完全収録した作品。

　今(2005年)から30年前の8月2日~3日に、つま恋で開催された拓郎のコンサートDVD。
　高校2年生だった僕は、夏休みを利用していく決意はもっていました。オール・ナイト・ニッポンでは、南こうせつが熱っぽく呼びかけ、音楽雑誌も多くの記事を出していました。かくゆう僕は、大の拓郎ファン。拓郎のギター・コピーに明け暮れていた僕にとっては、絶対見逃してはならないコンサートだったはず・・。
　しかし、ガードは高かった。交通費だけでも、数万円。まして、高校生以下の入場は制限されているとのこと。これでは、危険を冒してまではいけない。今となっては、後悔が懐かしく感じられるイベントでした。
　そのコンサートのフィルムが発見され、DVDになったとは・・。本当にうれしい限りです。当時は、拓郎とかぐや姫は絶頂。イントロが始まるや、やはり歌詞が出てきます。カラオケがなかった時代、歌を諳んじることは当たり前のことでした。
　フィルムの中の拓郎は、若い！あの観衆の中に僕もいるのではないかと、錯覚してしまいます。
　当時としては、日本の野外コンサートで、5万人を動員するということは大変なことでした。日本にも、ウッド・ストックみたいなコンサートがあっていいといわれながら、ついにやってしまったのが拓郎でした。
　熱く燃えていた青春が甦ってくるDVDを、僕は待っていました。

拓郎、かぐや姫が静岡県掛川市のつま恋に50000人もの若者を集めた歴史に残る12時間コンサートです。当時では、考えられない規模のものでした。夕方5時から始まったコンサートは、拓郎、かぐや姫の順で交互に出演し、朝5時まで名曲の数々を歌い上げました。特に最後のステージで拓郎が朝日に向かって絶叫する「人間なんて」は今見ても震えます。70年代を代表する二人（二組）が力の限りを尽くした最高のコンサートでした。

当時高校生だった私は、遠く静岡に行ける訳無く、写真集やこのフィルムコンサートで感動しました。大阪ではなんとあのフェスティバルホールで上映会！曲に合わせて手拍子したり、拍手したり・・・
懐かしいです。（もっと収録多く無かったかなー？）

あれから30年・・・早いですねえ。楽しみです。
