麗美として出したシングル・アルバムは全部もっていますが、確かによく聴くベストといえる物です。ただ残念なのは「君の友達でいたいから」が入っていないことです。それさえなければ、本当にベストだと言えると思うのですが・・・

リマスター盤が発売されるにあたって、初めて麗美作品を聴いた。
ユーミンのアルバムは、まさに「青春そのもの」のように長年聴いてきたが、なぜか麗美の作品は避けて通ってきたのである。
透明感のありすぎる声・・・正直、苦手だった。
しかし、歳を重ねた今、このアルバムを通して聴いて、改めてユーミンの楽曲の良さと正隆氏の洗練されたアレンジ、それに乗る麗美のボーカルが心地よく感じた。
「星のクライマー」は壮大な音世界が広がっており、ユーミンファンには是非とも聴いてもらいたい。
当時、「ユーミンの妹的存在」として売り出された麗美。
なるほど納得である！

　麗美といえば、やはりユーミンの影を感じてしまう。とにかくデビューシングルから４曲目までがユーミンの曲であり、声質も似ていることから、イメージ的には確かにユーミンの妹分のようであった。
　ただ、今日だから言えることであるが、いわば‘親分’からの脱却時期に失敗したかなという印象も否めない。その数年前、やはり沢田聖子がイルカの妹のような立場でデビューしていたが、まもなく自己路線を開拓してアルバムでオリジナリティを発揮し始めている。麗美も「星のクライマー」のような名曲！を作れるのであれば、プロデュースサイドとしてもう少し早く気づくべきであったし、もし、他の自作曲が未熟であったとしても、彼女独自のカラー作りに見合うライターを選ぶべきであった。セールスを重んじるあまり、ユーミンを頼りすぎ、結局、本当の彼女が見えてこなかったというのが正直なところである。後年「走るそよ風たちへ」といった名曲も出していたが遅すぎた印象があった。
　あと、歌い方で印象に残っていることといえば、「愛にDESPERATE」において、サビの部分がミョーに英語っぽい発音であっこと（「デスポァラェイト」とか）。当然ボイストレーナーの指示であったことかも知れないが、却って不自然な歌い方に感じたことを２０年前の事ながら覚えている。
