生のニンジン、ズッキーニを食べやすくしてくれます。

○刃がよく切れるので、軽く押してハンドルを回すだけ。
○簡単レバーの切換えで、千切り／平切り（スライス）にチェンジ可能。
○野菜に切り込みを入れずに切ると、らせん切りが出来る。（包丁では無理）

個人的には、はるさめニンジン（らせん千切り）や、れんこんチップス
（平切りして炒めて塩こしょう）をよく作ります。

△刃が鋭いので、洗う時は注意。（カンナのような刃）
△刃のまわりに、切りくずが溜まる。（×ではなく△。　構造上、仕方ないです）

ベジタリアンになって10年、ローフードを初めて1年。このサラダッコ
でニンジンやズッキーニのパスタを作って毎日おいしくいただいています。
根菜類ならほとんどこれでパスタ状にすることが可能。包丁を
使って切ったのとはまた違った食感が楽しめます。また、スライスや
みじん切りなどもできるので、調理の下ごしらえにも使えます。
組み立ても洗うのも簡単。唯一の欠点は、キャベツやほうれん草などの
葉ものには使えないこと。部品をかえて、葉ものにも使えるように
改良されたら五つ星でしょう。

ニンジン、カブの根菜類でやってみましたが、薄く、やわらかくて
食べやすくなって良いです。
ただし、
・切れる野菜が限られていること
(主に根菜類はOKですが、キャベツなどはダメ。）
・入れる野菜の大きさが８ｃｍまで、両端が平行でないといけないこと。
・切る厚み、剣の幅が選べないこと。
・5mmくらいの端っこが残ること。

名前の通り、サラダを食べるときには手早く薄切りができて重宝します。
