森繁作品としては55年なんで比較的古い部類になると思います。
スラップスティックコメディで高名で真面目な教授（兄）といい加減な詐欺師（弟）役で1人2役をしています。
菊田一夫の原作ということで、かなりしっかりと作られていると思いますし、森繁も歌ったりダンスしたり達者なところを観せてくれています。
最後まで特に退屈はせずに観れましたが、やっぱり今の時代に見ると繰り出されるいかにもなギャグや映画自体のテンポも古臭く若干冗長に感じると思います。
