5.0 out of 5 stars 連続ドラマで毎週魅せてほしい, 2005/6/25
　衣装やセットがたいへん凝っていて魅力的だった。セピア調の音楽といい、原作の雰囲気をよく映像化していると思う。原作では、獄中の天切り松が啖呵を切る場面も多々あるが、本作品のように決して声を荒らげることなく、淡々と闇語る姿も滋味豊かで印象的だ。
　天切り松の二つ名の由来を明かす書き下ろしエピソードもあり、見応えのある構成となっている。おこん姐さんや書生常がほとんど脇役だったので、彼らの活躍を今度は見てみたい。続編の予定はないのだろうか。
　
　なお、原作は同題の小説シリーズのほか、エッセイ「初等ヤクザの犯罪学入門」には天切り松誕生のエピソードが収録されているので併せてオススメしたい。

浅田次郎の原作「天切り松闇語り」シリーズを読んだ人なら必見の作品。原作の出来があまりにも優れている場合、イメージが壊れるのが勿体無くてなかなかドラマは見られないが、この作品は、自信を持ってお薦めする。全体に漂う大正ロマンの世界に安吉一家の面々が鮮やかに描き出される。書生常が出ていないのは残念だが、浅田作品を貫く『粋』と『人情』『一途さ』は完全なまでに描き切られている。何故、ここまでの物を作ってしまっかのか？スタッフの意気込みを感じさせられる。

キャスティングを見て「これは」と思ったが、「天切り松」の中村勘九郎ははまり役。玄人衆が使う「闇がたり」という話し方で語られる闇の物語であり、そこに大正ロマンが漂い本物の任侠が描かれてゆくのだが、この雰囲気が実に程よく醸しだされている。原作のイメージに重なる配役もピタリと決まっていて実に良い仕上がり具合。原作の名場面を選んで映像化しているが、原作を知らなくても「闇がたり」の面白さは十分味わえると思える。
