メインテーマのＣＤゆえ東宝怪獣特撮映画を回顧する上で不可欠の
一枚だが、メインテーマを聴くほどいろんな挿入曲も聴きたくなる
のがファンの心理。そんなファンは「ANIMEX 1200シリーズ109 映画
オリジナルBGMコレクション 怪獣王ゴジラ」（上・下）も買って
３枚で現在入手可能な東宝怪獣特撮のサントラは一応揃えられる。
ゴジラシリーズ以外も含めて全曲揃えたいというファンには「ゴジラ
大全集」などがお勧めだが現在中古市場でしか入手不可能。次期
発売まで、３枚のＣＤで楽しみながら待ちましょう。

１９５４年版から１９８４年版のゴジラまで、東宝特撮映画各作品のオープニングタイトルが満喫出来る一枚。
怪獣映画だけでなく、「日本誕生」や変身人間シリーズも含む全３７曲。
個人的には「地球防衛軍」にイチバン燃えます（笑）
腹巻猫さん＠劇伴倶楽部によるライナーノートもあって満足です。

遂に出た！！昭和東宝特撮映画コンプリートサントラ集！！！
ってことで、全部聴くともうお腹いっぱい胸いっぱいの内容です。
全作品のオープニングタイトルが年代順に収録されており（一部挿入歌も）、歴史を振り返る上でも貴重なアルバムです。
「海底軍艦」や「マタンゴ」のメインタイトルが聴けるのも嬉しい限りです。
中でも「三大怪獣 地球最大の決戦」メインタイトルは、ゴジラの名曲中の名曲。
映画自体は傑作とは言えませんが、キングギドラ出現シーンにも流れるこの曲は素晴らしいですね。
また、なんと言っても「かえせ！太陽を」ボーカル入り。この曲が聴けるのが最大の魅力です。
ヘドラはまったく魅力無しですが、この歌は名曲ですね！！
