   「機動戦士ガンダム」シリーズの歴代モビルスーツが、デフォルメサイズで登場する「SDガンダム G GENERATION」シリーズに、ガンダムSEEDのキャラとストーリーを収録したドラマチック・シミュレーションだ。

   PS2版「SDガンダム G GENERATION-NEO」をベースに新要素を加え、大幅にグレードアップしている。大人気アニメ「ガンダムSEED」のドラマを追う「SEEDモード」と、従来のGジェネと同じくガンダム史上の有名な戦いを再現できる「GENERATIONモード」の2つがある。

   SEEDモードは原作ストーリーを忠実に再現しているうえに、完全フルボイス仕様。また、開発や編成の必要がないので、難易度的にGジェネ未経験者でもすぐに遊べるモードだ。

   新要素として、前作にはなかった原作のキャラが使用可能になり、さらに育成も可能。シナリオ数も大幅に増え、ただでさえやりこみ度の高いシリーズにさらにお楽しみ要素が増えた感がある。

　歴代の戦場をめぐる「ＧＥＮＥＲＡＴＩＯＮ」モードと、「ＳＥＥＤ」を追体験する「ＳＥＥＤ」モード二本立て！との事ですが…「ＧＥＮＥ」モードは、おまけ程度に考えた方がいいかと思います。

　「ＳＥＥＤ」は、ゲーム中の会話は全てフルボイス。面の開始と終了時に、会話や、ムービーイベントがたくさん入ります。
　「ＧＥＮＥ」は会話ボイスは無し、ムービーイベントも無し…と寂しいものです。選ばれている戦場も…まぁ作品数重ねていますし。

　ゲーム部分は、開発できるＭＳ・ＭＡの数が手頃で（ＮＥＯよりは多い）コンプリートをする気になります。
　大きな変更点は、必殺攻撃を使用するのに必要な、ＳＡゲージが最大３つまで貯められる事。使い道も、ＭＡＰ兵器にもＳＡが必要になり悩み所…。

　面数が少ない為、（「ＳＥＥＤ」１５面、「ＧＥＮＥ」１０面）一度クリアした面を、何度も繰り返し、開発・改造をしていく訳ですが、面開始時のイベントは、２度目からスキップ可能ですが、面終了時のイベントは不可。特に「ＳＥＥＤ」は長いので、ここもスキップしたかったです。

　ヘルプも完備されていますので、初めて「Ｇジェネ」を、やるにはいいかもしれません。ただ「ＳＥＥＤ」への思い入れが、有る、無しで評価が割れる作品です。

G-ジェネシリーズの異端作ともいえる。

今回は同じステージを何度も何度も繰り返して挑戦でき、レンタルキャラが「育てられる」という利点がある。
そのため、今までのG-ジェネシリーズの観点ではなく、
「キャラ育成＋こんなMSにこんなパイロットを・・・」
という、ある意味育てゲーのような観点で見た方がいいかもしれない。
今回はSEEDメインのため、もはやシナリオは期待出来ない。

システムはNEOよりも上なので、育てゲーとしてはある意味最高かも。
SEED＋他作品が入ってるゲームは、スパロボシリーズ以外、今の所これのみなので、スパロボよりも、もっと幅をきかせた遊び方。

例えばボールに乗ったキラで宇宙を駆けるとか、イージスガンダムで敵を撃破しまくるカミーユ等、スパロボよりも、もっと幅広い育てゲーをしたい人には面白いかもしれない。

・・・でもストーリーの少なさには、絶句。

色々と酷な評価を受けていますが私は面白いと思います。
確かにＦなどと比べるとＭＳ数は１/３以下の３００機近くですが、その分戦闘シーンに力を入れており、どのユニットの戦闘もかなり格好良いです。

さらに他の方レビューにＮＥＯよりユニット数が少なくなっているというのがありますが、それはウソで、前作ＮＥＯのユニット数に今回ＳＥＥＤ系のユニットをほぼ全て追加、あとアストレイからもレッドとブルーが収録、そしてその他の作品のＭＳを数十体追加されています。
前作より少なくなっているなんてことはありませんので御安心を。
