今回のアルバムタイトル「ホントのきもち」って色々な方々に「何か意味があるんでしょう？」って良く聞かれるんですが、特に意味は無いんです。（笑）でも、結果的にこのアルバムに収められた曲の歌詞を見ていると、なんとなく、今までの矢野顕子とはちょっと違う！違う矢野顕子が見えるね！というような感じになってるんじゃないかな。

2002年のくるり「百鬼夜行」ライブに私がゲストとして呼ばれたことが、くるりの岸田繁さんやレイハラカミさんとは若手のすばらしい才能と出逢いでして…。一緒に曲を作ったり、レコーディングしたり…これも今までの矢野顕子ではないことですよねぇ。

このアルバム「ホントのきもち」に発売に伴って、コンサートがあります。
12月になると毎年行っておりますが、「さとがえるコンサート」、今年もあります。来てくれた人がみんな「あーー来てよかったなぁ」って思えるコンサートにしたいと思ってます。

このアルバムを作るのに、なんと2年半かかったんですが、その間、いろんなことを考えました。やっぱりいつも同じ事をやっててもツマンナイなぁ。同じことをやるのは簡単だけど、でも新しいことにチャレンジしようと考えて作りました。なので、皆様も是非新しいことにチャレンジしてみてください！！

１曲目からあんまりよくてビックリした。
あんまり長いことファンをしているので最近のアルバムは正直いいのか悪いのかわからなくなっていましたが、今回はすごくいいですよ！目から鱗です。イッツザ矢野顕子（？）。いつも誰かとのコラボでほんとうにいい結果を出してくれる人だとは思うけど、今回は天才の本来の力をさらに倍増させてキラキラさせていると思うので、「くるり」ってすごいのかもしれない、とこれから聞いてみたいと思いました。
ジャケットも実物は質感とかも含め和み系でとても素敵です。
ライブがとても楽しみになりました。

今回のアルバム良いですよー。彼女のアルバムはほとんど持っていますが、
私のベスト５に入りますね。なぜか懐かしい感じがしました。矢野顕子らしい
というか。NightTrainHome は切なくて泣けてきますよ。

矢野さんはどんどん新しくなる。このアルバムをキライと言う人もいるかもしれないし、スキだと言う人ももちろんいるはずだけど、矢野さん自身がそんなこと臆面もせずに「新しいのデキたからみんな聴いてよっ！」とてらいもなくのびのびと私たちに差しだしてみせた異色の新作。
矢野さんは組む人によって明らかに曲の色調や風合いが変わるミュージシャンだと思いますが、今回は成功とか失敗とかそんなもの飛び越えて興味深い仕上りになってます。良い悪いの判断を無視する出来というか。いや、かなり良いです。ほんと。オルガン（エレピ！）やアメリカ南部風ブルース弾き語りもアリ。
全体として感じたのは、おそらく矢野さんは進むことを選んだのだろうな、と。いやなこともうれしいこともひっくるめて進むんだもん、という決意みたいなものが、やわらかな矢野さんの声のすきまから聞こえてくる感じです。いま矢野さんは仕事がとても楽しいのかもしれない。もしかしたら恋をしているのかもしれませんね。
