5.0 out of 5 stars 「ヘドロの皮の下に隠れた　キラキラの真実」, 2006/9/30
一番言いたいことを最初に言っておこう。9曲目「バトる」を聴いた時の衝撃は、７３年のストゥージス「ロウ・パワー」、同年の村八分のライブ盤と同質のものだ。他のCDを聴くのがバカらしくなって繰り返し聴き続けたのは８８年ブルー・ハーツの「トレイン・トレイン」以来。鳥肌が立ち意味不明の涙がこぼれた。生きる糧になる音楽だ。
me-ismは「池袋系B級えっちバンド」と自ら名乗っているだけあってジャケットも過激、色物バンドと誤解する向きもあるかもしれない。Vo山崎優子さんは、８５年生まれで都立定時制高校を中退、ホストに騙されたり援交したりしていたが、１６歳のときに池袋のライブハウスに出入りするうちにロックに触れ、me-ism結成となったそうだ。
このバンドはなんといっても彼女の存在感がすごい。ドスの効いた声で自らの体験に基づいたヒリヒリするような生々しい歌を歌う。セックスのこと、学校のこと、友達のこと、気恥ずかしいくらいに直接的な歌詞。しかし、１曲目「真実」の歌詞にもあるように、その歌は「光の皮の下に隠れた　ドロドロの真実」「ヘドロの皮の下に隠れた　キラキラの真実」を伝えてくれる。ああ、オレずっとこういう歌が聴きたかったんだってことを否応なく気づかせてくれた。
もしこれを読んでくれた１０代の人がいたら、騙されたと思ってme-ismを聴いてもらいたい。そしてライブに行ってもらいたい。なにより同世代の人に向けられた歌なのだから。ライブはCDよりもっとすごいよ。死にそうになります。
