音楽だけのアルバムというよりも全体的に恐怖物語調になっています。怖いかといわれるとそうでもないのですがジャケットに見られる独特の雰囲気は決して裏切られていませんし今から40年以上も前の録音も決して安っぽく聞こえません！日本だけの外国的恐怖感（個人的には妖怪人間べムとか怪奇大作戦とかそんな感じです。）がむしろおしゃれな感じに聞こえます！アンチラウンジミュージックのような感じで楽しんでみるのもいいと思いますよ。音楽に関しては山下毅雄さんなので間違いありません！不思議な感じの一枚です！

曲タイトル、解説、アートワークを含めたトータルアートとして楽しめる作品。

コンビニもインターネットも無く、テレビも一晩中やってなく、
夜が夜として、しっかり暗かった時代には、
「恐怖」というエンターテイメントのジャンルも
「想像力」を働かせる楽しみ方としてしっかり機能していたのだ。

それを単なるノスタルジーと呼ぶ人もいるだろう。
しかし「現代」とはこれを楽しめない世の中のことだとしたら、
どんどんつまらない方向に行っていることだけは確かである。
