 「私服の音」と「至福の音」という2つの意味が込められたタイトルが、すべてを言い表している。シングル「Any」から、「Hero」、カップリングの「空風の帰り道」、ダブルA面シングル「掌 / くるみ」をはじめ、ラジオ・オンエアのみで反響があった「タガタメ」を収録した本作は、約2年ぶり、11枚目のアルバムとなる。

   ビートルズをはじめとするイギリスのロックからの影響を、何の言い訳もなく表現した「言わせてみてぇもんだ」からスタート。なんといっても、“普段の自分”をそのまま楽曲のモチーフにしているのが特徴だ。これを聴く限り、いつもの生活のなかで感じるちょっとした気分を、おそろしく優れたポップ・ミュージックとして表現できる才能を保持しているバンドは、ミスチル以外には思いつかない。ミスチルの最高傑作と言える1枚。（森 朋之）

全体的に良い曲そろってます。
個人的にずば抜けてすばらしいと思う曲に絞って書きます。

それは、「天頂バス」。
運命的な出会いさえ感じました。

始めは桜井も（確信犯的に？）やる気なさそうに歌っていますが、
サビでは一転、突き上げるようにがんがん声を張り上げて
まさしく「全力疾走で駆け抜け」る。

「トンネルを抜けると」以降、最後のサビに向けて盛り上げています。
「だから自分のせいっておもわねぇ」あたりは、
このアルバムで最もかっこいい部分かもしれません。

カラオケで歌うと、知らない人も大いに盛り上がる熱い詩、
のりが良いサビのメロディに編曲、最強です。

メッセージの方向としては、Anyとほぼ同じ、「前向きさ」かなと思います。
さらりと行きたい時はAnyがいいかと思います。

しかし、何かで失敗した時に半分やけで、半分やってやるぜという気持ちなら、
間違いなく天頂バスがいいでしょう！！

一時期この曲ばかり聴いていてほかのこと考えられなくなりました。
天頂ジャンキーでした。
はまってくださる方がどんどん増えてくれることを本気で願っています。

繰り返すと、全体的に非常に良い曲がそろっています。
どの曲も聞かせてくれます！！
ただ、天頂がすごすぎる。天才です、桜井さん。

DoCoMoのCM曲がかなり入ってます。ミスチルのアルバムを初めて聴く人にとっては、ミスチルを知るのに良い作品だと思います。ライトファンにもウケが良いんじゃないでしょうか。自分的には、既出曲が多かった割に新鮮なアルバムだなと思いました。シングル曲も流れを無視していないし、逆に「Any」なんかはアルバムを通して聴いた方がいいなと思えます。メロディも去ることながら、歌詞はさすがミスチルと思わされるものばかりでした。

大学時代から人生のいろんな場面でミスチルの曲を聴き、励まされてきました。なによりすごいのは、桜井さんが年齢を重ねるにつれて詩の内容もそれを感じさせて変わっていく、現実的なんだけど、がんばろうって思わせてくれる歌詞と、それを説教くさくなく素直に聞かせてくれる切ない声の質だと思う。どの歌にも桜井さんの声が割れちゃうとこがあるんだけど、そこがまた魅力だと思います。昔はTomorrow　never knowsに励まされてた私が娘をもった今はHeroに共感している。桜井さんと同年代の世代には特に共感できる内容の歌詞が多いのでおすすめ。ポップなんだけど、それだけじゃないアルバムです。
