5.0 out of 5 stars 弱音での歌唱がたまらなく美しい Sumi Jo さんの歌唱, 2004/6/3
モーツァルトの夜の女王の歌唱などからも十分実証されているとおり、煌（きら）びやかに歌おうと思えば直ぐにでもできるコロラトゥーラ・ソプラノ歌手のSumi Jo さんが、ここでは控えめに丁寧に、そして何よりも清楚に歌っているのが好ましい。ピアノやピアニッシモで歌う箇所などはとくに美しい。もちろん朗唱する箇所などは文句なし。

彼女のイタリア語の発音も明瞭そのもので、イタリア「古典」歌曲の世界にごく自然に心地よく誘われるものだから、何度聴いても、聴きあきるということがない。どの曲にも不満なし。個人的には合唱部時代にじっさい自分でも歌ったことのある曲をついつい繰り返し聴いてしまう。

第9曲の「君のそばに」(ローザ、17世紀)、第2曲の「いとしい人から遠く離れて」(サルティ、18世紀)のメロディーは清楚で美しい。それをSumi Joさんは心をこめて歌い上げている。第16曲の「2つの瞳よ,御身らが慕わしい」(ヘンデル)も素晴らしい。

こんなに優れたCDが廉価で提供されることもありがたい。

以前はコロラトゥーラでは、Erika Koeth さんが好きだった。これからは、Sumi Jo さんを応援します。

スミ・ジョーは知人から教えられて知っていたが、先ごろテレビでその素晴らしい歌声を聴き、すぐにこのＣＤを注文した。イタリア古典歌曲に始まり、声楽学習者がよく習うような曲が収められている。何度聴いても飽きない名盤である。彼女はコロラトウーラ・ソプラノというだけあって音域に無理がなく、決して絶叫したり、押したりしない歌い方である。もともと美声なのかもしれないが、その発声法は完璧で、高音も低音もまったく違和感を感じさせず美しい。これこそベルカントのお手本だろう。声楽修業者は女性はもちろん、男性も勉強になること請合いである。われわれはイタリア人とは骨格が違うから・・・というような劣等感は、彼女が韓国人であることで吹き飛んでしまうだろう。

タイトルの番組ではじめてスミ･ジョーの歌声を聴いて引き込まれた。そのときの演奏曲は，アダンの歌劇｢闘牛士」から，アリア「ああ，聞いてよ，お母さん」。モーツァルトの「きらきら星変奏曲」を基にした，実に技巧的なアリア。コロラトゥーラソプラノの魅力を存分に発揮し，アジアからこんな歌手が出ていたことを嬉しく思った。アダンのかの曲もＣＤになっているようだが，手始めに廉価なこのＣＤを試す。カロ・ミオ・ベン(愛しい人よ)で始まり，うつろな心で終わるこのＣＤ。高校の頃の音楽の授業を思い出し，思わず口ずさみたくなる。ところが，さすがはコロラトゥーラ，私が知っている旋律ではなく，コロコロと自由自在に転がる新鮮な旋律にアレンジ（たぶん，原曲ではないはず）。実に新鮮，楽しい，美しい，嬉しい１枚です。星４つにしたのは，イタリア古典という曲のおとなしさが理由です。歌声は星５つです。
