大橋純子のフィリップス時代のファーストテイクのシングル集。この編集は評価したい。アルバム未収録テイクも含め、すでにオリジナルアルバムの入手が困難ないま、せめてシングルＡ面だけでも所有しておく価値はある。大ヒットの「シルエットロマンス」は４バージョンあるが、ここで収録されているものはシングルバージョン。ストリングスの編曲もこのバージョンが最高傑作。

大橋純子さんの歌唱力に圧倒させられる一枚です。
伸びのあるボーカルと艶のある声は聴いていて、
とても気持ちがいいです。そして歌唱力もさることながら、
曲もすごく魅力的で名曲ばかりです。何十年も前の曲ばかりですが、
どの曲も中３の私が聞いても全く古さを感じません。
(今時、中３で大橋純子さんを聴いている人がいるんですよ〜笑)
それどころか、今流行っている曲のガチャガチャした電子音の
アレンジより何十倍もかっこいいです。
(特に美乃家セントラル・ステイションが演奏している５〜８、１１、
１３，１４は最高！)
このような、歌唱力、詩、曲、これらすべてが満たされているものは、現代ではほとんどないと思います。
歌手のプロとアマの差がはっきりしない時代の今、このまま
歌唱力、詩、曲を大切にしていない歌ばかり聴いていると、長年
作り上げてきた日本の音楽のよさが崩壊してしまう気がします。
だからこそ、大橋純子さんのような真のボーカリストの歌を聴く
必要があるのではないでしょうか？きっと今の人たちが抱いている
音楽に対する軽はずみな気持ちがなくなるはずです。
なので、ぜひ一度同世代の人にも聴いてもらいたいです。

年取って本当にいいと思える昔の曲というのが、自分にとっての本当に言い曲なんだと思える今日この頃です。
「たそがれマイ・ラブ」好きです。
