今はなきSNKの黄金期に絶大な人気を得たゲームが原作の完全オリジナルストーリー、と言えば聞こえはよいのですが、原作も登場人物の設定も全て完全に無視され、キャストもそれぞれのキャラのイメージと全く合っておらず(特に香取慎吾氏の覇王丸と千葉麗子氏のナコルル)、ストーリー展開もみえみえな上にやたらと慌ただしく、かなり無理があったように思えました。龍虎の拳同様、大好きなゲームだっただけに不満ばかりが募る作品でした。よって、☆1つとさせていただきます。
