単なる映像DVDではなく、さまざまな角度からグラビアアイドル「根本はるみ」を観ることができるインタラクティブ性に優れたムービーソフトだ。9~12のカメラで同時収録した映像をプレイヤー自身が好きなアングルから狙える。
水着やコスプレ衣装をまとった根本はるみを、ソニーが開発したヴァーチャル・ビューシステム「FourthVIEW」により、複数のカメラから撮影。その映像を加工して、リアルタイムでインタラクティブな視点変更を実現している。本作のコンセプトは「アイドルの撮影現場にユーザーが潜入する」というもの。プロモーションビデオのようにBGMが入っているわけでもなく、聞こえてくるのは彼女の声やスタッフの作業にともなう雑音だけだ。現場の臨場感が直に伝わってくる。
総合監修・撮影監督に、ビジュアルアイドルの魅力を知り尽くした、写真家の渡辺達生を起用。彼の手による一流の映像素材をぞんぶんに使って、プレイヤー自身のディレクションでアイドル根本はるみを追いかけてみよう。（林田信浩）
