のっけからやられてしまいますよ。一曲目は「ランナウェイ」のレゲエバージョン。懐かしさと新鮮さがドーンと入ってきます。この曲のサウンドメイク担当は何と槙原くん。何か事件あったけど音楽性は変わってないようです、歌心をおさえたアレンジはGoodGood。

そして、このアルバム全曲凄まじく音が良い。特に「きみきみ」のリミックスは是非注目して聴いてみて欲しい曲です。

更に、このアルバムの選曲にも注目です。達郎さん、小田さん、吉田美奈子さん等が楽曲制作に参加している曲がずらっと並んでいます。何とも豪華。きっと鈴木さんのお人柄なんでしょうね。

ボーナストラックのBoyzIIMenのカバーもハーモニーがとてもイイ感じです。
ライブで出掛けてみたくなりました。

僕はマーチンのファンになってまだまだ日が浅く、生意気なことが書けないのですが、
初心者が軽い気持ちで聴くのはやはりベストアルバムだと思うんです。
だからこれからマーチンの曲を聴いてみよう！と思っている方、まずはこれから入ってみてはいかがでしょう？
僕もこのアルバムから好きになった初心者のひとりなのできっと好きになりますよ！

僕のような初心者の方が聴いたことがある曲はおそらく「もう涙はいらない」
「恋人」「ランナウェイ」「夢で逢えたら」「ロンリーチャップリン」
位でしょうか、まあ僕が聴いたことのあった曲なんですけど（笑）
それでは、マーチンに興味を持ってくださった方！ぜひ聴いてみてください！

実は鈴木雅之さんのことは、シャネルズとかラッツ＆スターの頃は結構なファンであり、ライブを見に行く程だったのですが、ソロになってからはたまに見たり聞いたりするくらいでした。マーチンという呼び方も知らなかったぐらいです。その鈴木雅之さんも、デビュー３０周年ということでＴＶにここのところ登場する機会が増えてました。それをぼんやり見ていると「今日は渋谷で５時」という曲を菊池桃子とのデュエットでやってまして、なかなか良いな~などと思っていると、えっこれも、という感じの良い曲がいろいろあったもんですから、早速、良いな~と思った曲が全部入ってそうなＣＤを見つけているうちにこの作品を発見いたしました。懐かしのランナウェイも今の「マーチン・ブレンド」で仕上げられていました。日本の歌手では珍しいくらいソウルフルなシンガーですね。曲がかかっているだけでおしゃれな感じがいたします。３０年の集大成を一度に聞けるというのも贅沢な感じです。はぁ~３０年ねぇ。同じだけ年をとったシャネルズのファンの方にお勧めです。
