2001年夏に行われた福島県の博覧会「うつくしま未来博」にて限定上映された、久石譲第2回監督作品をDVD化。3スクリーンに分けてシンクロ上映された映像を、新たに1画面に再編集された完全版。特典としてオリジナルサウンドトラックCDが付いている。

2001年夏に福島県須賀川市で開催された博覧会「うつくしま未来博」にて、久石譲プロデュースによる、水と光そして映像を使っての一大スペクタクル夜間イヴェント「うつくしまナイトファンタジア　4 MOVEMENT」が行われた。その時に公開された映像作品が、久石の第2回目の映画監督作品。この作品がDVDとCDセットで販売される。何といっても、この作品のサウンドトラックは迫力満点で、そのメロディも心打たれるものがあった。商品化されないかと待ちこがれていた方も多々いらっしゃっただろう。リーズナブルな価格設定でもあり、期待して良いのではないだろうか。なお、M12に収録されている曲は本来、廃盤したソロアルバム「PRETENDER」の曲で、コアなファンには必聴のものだろう。

久石氏の音楽に合わせ非常に幻想的な世界観が描写されている本編。
ミュージッククリップ的感覚にも捉えられる方が少なからずいるのは否定出来ない作品と思うので、お勧め度としてマイナス。
個人的には久石さんの音楽の新しい楽しみ方を見た感じです。
宮崎・北野監督作品の音楽が有名な氏の音楽を強く感じさせない、一人の音楽家としての一つの作品です。

ＣＤもついていて、お手頃な価格なので、興味がある方にはぜひお勧めします。

久石 譲監督映画のDVD＆サウンドトラックセット。
個人的にはDVD自体よりもそのサントラに期待大です。

どんな美しい旋律を聞かせてくれるのか。
最高級であることは間違いありません。
