この作品はもともと名古屋テレビの開局４０周年記念として製作され、その反響の大きさから映画化されたものです。無実の罪をきせられ復讐心から頑なに心を閉ざしてしまう英二役の藤原竜也さんと、幼なじみのさぶ役の妻夫木聡さんの個性がとても対照的で、またとても二人が役にはまっていて良かったです。それと、おのぶ役の田畑智子さんの目がとても色っぽかったのと、冒頭の雨のシーンの音楽が印象に残ったのを覚えています。

時代劇と馬鹿にして（？）いました。時代劇が渋いなぁて思っちゃ間違いです。正直さと真っ直ぐさ、山本周太郎さんの作品は、時代劇すぎないような気がします。
制約の多かった生きにくい時代。それでも、あったいいものはあったかいし、熱い想いも熱かったのだと、しみじみ感じました。

あらぬ罪で自分をはめた人間をむ栄ちゃん。それを不器用でも誰よりも幸せになってほしいと一生懸命願ってはげますさぶ。
好きな人と結ばれたくてもそれを通せない時代の女性。静かでも熱い想いで待つ女性。
結末は驚きましたが、人であれでこそかもしれません。

藤原くんの裾さばきで「すごい役者さんだ！」と感激してしまいました。妻夫木くんの憎めない役柄の演技もすごい！ラストのさぶちゃんのやさしさで目が滝になりました。いろんな年代の人に見てほしい作品でした。

こんなに若い役者であったかどうかなんですら知らなかった作品で感動しました。
タイトルとパッケージの写真で若い人が無理してヤクザものでもしているのかと思いました。内容は、なんて悲しくてなんて優しい物語でしょうか。
藤原竜也と妻夫木聡の作品はアタリが多いです。

レビューを見て買おうか、もしくは借りようか迷っている人は見てください。

私は年に80本は映画を見るのですがその中で☆5つは多くて8本くらいですよ。好みもありますが私はみて間違いないと思います。
