素晴らしい歌というのは郷愁をもたらすものなのでしょうか。
私は最近になるまでほとんど加藤和彦さんの歌を知らなかったのですが
あるきっかけでその魅力に驚きと同時に感動を覚えました。
でも、むかし聞いた歌でもないのに、こんなに懐かしさと郷愁を覚えるのはなぜなのか
とても癒されるからなのか、不思議な気持ちです。
永遠に残る名曲は、聴く人も年齢も時代も選ばないのかもしれません

時間が経てば、やっぱり考え方も変わる。
思い出の数々の中で、重い軽いの差も出てくるのかもしれない。
これが本当に加藤氏本人のセレクションならば、
現時点で、まとめたかった作品集ということでしょうか。
廃盤になったままという作品が多かったので、
完全復刻への第一歩になれば、デビュー以来のファンとして
うれしい限りです。

加藤和彦さんは、素晴らしい作曲能力があるだけではありません。神様があの素敵な歌声まで、お与えになられたのです。うらやましがってはいけません。フォークソング好きの日本人のために、神様が宝物を与えてくださったのです。

加藤和彦さんは、あまり過去を振り返ったりすることが好きではないようなのですが、今回は、何か思うことがあったのでしょう。フォークル新結成が落ち着くと、ご自身の作品集を発表されました。理由はどうであれ、加藤和彦さんのファンとして、この選曲はとってもうれしい。ミカバンドという特殊な時期の曲を除き、加藤和彦さんの原点とも言えるようなアルバムです。素晴らしいです。
