２０年程前、東映洋画系の映画館でジャッキーチェンの蛇鶴八拳と同時上映されていた作品。私自身、ジャッキー目当てで映画館に足を運びましたが、断然この作品のほうが評価が高かった。日本人俳優の台詞など、全然でたらめだが、オープニングに流れるテーマ曲とも、なにかしら、どきどき、わくわくさせるものでありました。日本にも真田広之のように世界に誇れるハンサムで切れの良いアクションスターがいるのだと、認識されたものです。これは、理屈云々抜きでまず観なさい。って感じですかね。
